I'm unfamiliar with the process. What would you have to technically do to fix it? Couldn't you like transfer your current seat airbags to these seats or something like that?

You should not be buying a seat with a blown airbag due to safety reasons, it may also be illegal in your state, unless you're putting it in a track car (off road use only) Do your research before you buy.

Does it mean if you have a car say 1972 Datsun which does not have airbags at all in the seat. It would mean this could be used ?

What if you buy brides? They don't have airbags. Even if you go online and look at the recaro CS seats. Those don't come with airbags as well.
