New 2016 take off hatch struts.
Up for grabs is a set of oem 370z hatch
Struts from my 2016 Nismo. These were removed 1st day I purchased The vehicle and were replaced with Z1 Hatch struts. Unfortunately once the Z1 hatch struts Are placed they cannot be removed. I tried- called Z1 and confirmed that Once theirs are placed in not able to Be removed. So I sold my 2016 Nismo with the Z1 Hatch struts and I have these from New. They were stored in a bag and in a box Since removed. They are perfect and nothing wrong with Them period. Not even a mark on them anywhere... and function As New would obviously. These retail from Nissan parts and Z1 for $310 Plus shipping and tax. These will fit all 370z models as well. I'm offering them at less than 1/2 price. *** SOLD.!!!! *** Thanks all.

I'm not sure if they upgraded them
Over the years... but from what I read there is a difference in oem Base to sport model / Nismo ones. But anyhow, these are New removed from My 16' Nismo from day one. So they worked very smoothly and Opened as they should. I switched all my hinges and Added Z1 hood struts to match my Hatch struts was only reason these Were removed was I wanted match To The Z1 hood struts. I found the ones from Z1 much more difficult to Open than oem personally. But then again Z1 did state that. Hope that helps and lmk if U need them.

Love those Z1 hoot struts!
They make it so convenient Whenever I had to check on My clutch fluid each month... Just wondering... How are these struts different From the Z1 struts you replaced with?

These are just the oem hatch struts
I took off my car the day I got them ... So these are just new take off oem Nissan ones For the hatch. I bought the Z1 hatch struts for my Z And when I went to sell it intended on Taking them off and putting the oem back on. Only thing to be careful with is once The Z1 hatch struts are on - that's it You cannot remove them. So when I sold the car- the Z1 pieces Went with. I did manage to salvage the Z1 hood struts. I Was hoping to find someone in need Here needing or wanting a replacement Set for their hatch for less than Nissan charges. Z1 also sells these oem ones at a premium of $307 as well Just as an FYI. Side note- I did like the Z1 hatch struts... but I bought the heavy duty ones. Was a pain to open sometimes. But they say good for heavy wings. Just remember once Z1 versions are installed That's it they stay with the car. Oem hatch struts are easily replaceable. Only caveat against Z1. They should definitely State that when buying... imho. Thanks Zbrah.!

Sorry to side track the listing, but what exactly makes the Z1 struts irremovable? They're supposed to have a warranty so I'm wondering how they honor that. It's just expected to break if you take them off or something?
Asking because I was considering the Z1 struts. |

One side of them has a locking pin built into the ball.
Not the pin you slip in and lock, but the other side. Give Z1 a call... I called them the day I was disassembling my car. You'd literally have to take the hatch Hinges off with the struts. I got my front ones off but that was only Because the front ones that stick Permanently are on the ball supplied You put where you remove the plastic Clips at. Rears... and fronts.. per Z1 once they lock in place on One side you can't get it off. I seriously tried, but it felt like I was gonna Break the whole rear Z1 strut. They said just let it go with the car. And so I did. If you guys know something Z1 doesn't. Feel free. I'd love to help anyone out, but after I couldn't figure it out, called Z1 and They confirmed that there was not gonna Be any way possible... I said screw it. The factory ones cost 3 times as much anyway... lol. So feel free to chime If anyone knows Any secrets that might help others. Z1 should definitely have made Removal much easier. But again this is why I'm selling the Oem ones and not the Z1 ones. I'd be listing them had I gotten them Off. Thanks to all here for any help.
