For stancing a Nismo they need to be removed. My wheels looked sunk in with them on as the protrude a half inch (12.5mm) but my wheel offsets with spacers were VERY aggressive... but not noticed to be until I removed the flares.

I agree, I'm not a fan of them either. Some people still like them though. I can't believe they cost around $900 new!
On another note, your door handles look good!
