whats the welding all about?

I had this exhaust on my 2011 and loved it! GLWS!

Looks like they weldedwherethe h pipe normally has a slip fitting.

The H-pipe actually comes in two pieces with a slip fitting and clamp that connect them together in the middle of 'H'. This slip fitting didn't cause and problems or leaks for me - I don't think it is common to have it welded. OP I am sure can shed some more light on what is going on there.

Yes, I had the H pipe welded because some had indicated leakage with just the band clamp. Thanks

Great exhaust for the price. I have the H pipe on mine welded together too, can't be too safe.
