Fast Intentions Res HFC's in Houston, $350 OBO

4 Attachment(s)
Item & History
Fast Intentions resonated High Flow Cat's, driven for around 6k miles on my 2015 Nismo. The resonators perforated internals have slightly bent inward inside both cats (see pics), but I don't think it affects performance as I only noticed when I switched to test pipes and took pictures of the HFCs for this sale.

Price & Pick-up
Asking for $350 OBO, local pick-up only please (located in Houston, TX). I'm open to trades so just ask if you're interested. Looking to unload these quickly as they're just taking up space.

Pictures attached.

Hi,

I am located in the DFW area and have ordered a pair of the FI rhfc. I am concerned that this buckling may occur on my units. Do you know what may have caused it on yours? Hard driving on the track, turbo, nitrous? Just wondering.

Thanks,

John

let me know if you need help installing them. I charge 150 to install them. I run the DFW G club here in Dallas John. I have been around DFW since I was born and working on G35/350z/G37/370z for about 12 years now.

John and OP, I recommend emailing the pictures and your question to Tony or Kevin at Fast Intentions. They really stand behind their products.

Thanks for the suggestion. I emailed Kevin at Fast Intentions last night. I am waiting for a reply.

John, I think it just happens when the car gets hot combined with hot weather. When I went to JTran (in Houston). They said it's a pretty common thing for guys with res HFC's to have the rattle and the same bending issue. As you're in Dallas, you might have the same issue.

Got FI non-res test pipes installed, rattle is gone. Car sounds 10x better.

But, issue is I kept getting a CEL on the res HFC's. Too lean Post-cat issue. JTran re-tuned and added more fuel throughout the map. My CEL light is still on after the test pipes. JTran told me it's probably running too rich. Going to it retuned next week. If the CEL goes off and doesn't come back, I'll know it was the cat. If it comes on again, I'll have to figure out what the issue is.

I'll update after I get it re-tuned.

even if your tuned confused why JTRAN isn't just disabling that code at the HFC/Test Pipes??

Our HR are very picky..I have had fast intentions resonated test pipes with no issues on CEL and same for motordyne ART Pipes.

Wynton,

I hope all is well and I'm glad to hear that you've got your test pipes installed.

This is the first time seeing these pictures. I'd like to point out that this is not a common occurrence with our resonated high flow cats or resonated test pipes. We've sold hundreds, if not thousands of units over the years, and I've maybe seen this happen on 1 or 2 occasions.

We stand behind our exhaust products with a 3-year warranty on all welds and craftsmanship. We also offer a 3-year warranty on the internal packing material of our mufflers / tips / resonators. Our warranty holds true given that the parts have never been "bottomed out" on the ground or damaged due to negligence. The parts also need to have been bolted directly to our exhaust products or the OEM exhaust products.

Fast Intentions - Purchase Disclaimer

As for your CEL, in 2013 and above 370Z, Nissan made some changes to the O2 sensors and they are a little more sensitive than the older model Z. We incorporate j-bend style O2 anti-foulers in our test pipes and high flow cats. This method has worked great in the past at keeping that pesky CEL off. In the rare occasion that the CEL turns on, it can be corrected with a tune.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to send me an email.

GOOD LUCK WITH SALE!

- Kevin
