Hey Guys,

I was the one that got to purchase this pair of headlights. During this purchase Tim asked how I would like them shipped - I had asked for 2-3 air.

So he got a quote thru - UPS, and he gave me a couple options The standard and 2-3 day air. I decided to take the 2-3 day option.

Well guess what - UPS came back and said they were wrong on the quote to ship 2-3 air would be another $100 - 150 more.


So Tim shipped Standard - he said he was going to refund me like $50 bucks.
I paid $182 in shipping charges - so when the box arrived. (Headlights were in ok shape a couple broken tabs and scratches, but hey they are used so what can I expect. I got a quote myself and the Standard UPS came to $92 - I let Tim know and he said he would refund me the difference, and that was 3 days ago - since then Tim has not responded to my text messages or a private message here.

So I would like to caution anyone that is looking to purchase anything from him. Timz or Tim Eister

What's the back story for your dispute 95n3rd? I was interested in those seats possibly, not sure if it matters based on age of this thread

Essentially, I bought the taillight under the impression of no damage as the original description mentioned so. Well... I received the taillight damaged.

the part that you purchased was and is fully functional and serves its purpose as a taillight. I sent you two pictures of the part, front and back, showing its condition which you agreed to and proceeded to send the payment for. I'm sorry for your mistaken assumption/observation but it was an as-is purchase. You paid 100$ for taillight shipped, which shipping ground was $78.22 alone. You paid $21.78 for the fully functional taillight with the bulbs included off of a 2010 370z as stated.

Your reason for dispute is that it isn't as described but I never described/stated that there wasn't any cosmetic damage to the taillight. If the small cosmetic chip in the taillight that doesn't affect it functioning wasn't there, I would of charged a lot more then 22$ for the part. considering its $210 from the dealership.

For PayPal reference: I have the screenshot of the posting on the forum by the seller. I can send them over if need be. I also have pictures and text trails to provide for proper documentation. One can clearly see the damage on the taillight from my pictures. The pictures provided by the seller did not indicate damage. Again, the description from his posting on www.the370z.com mentioned, "...a Passanger Tailight with no broken tabs or damages..." I can provide evidence the description was and is inaccurate.

and the text "trails" dont state me saying they arent damaged at all either. and the description of the no broken tabs or damages were for the Headlights which is why they were 600$ and not super cheap like your deal with the taillight. The Taillight as well as one of the seats have damage which is shown in the pictures.

It's not too bad. Dealing with this situation is similar to dealing with the IRS audits in my profession; it's important to have solid documentation as evidence.

Step up and find away to resolve this.

This is the last place you want to look bad as a seller.

Good catch Trips. Love how he went on earlier and edited the condition of the lights comment out. Figured he could get one past the goalie.

He's not going to step up and resolve this. He got rid of the Z. I'm sure this is a good lesson for him.

Just an update: paypal will reward me my refund provided I send back the taillight :)

However, it is not worth my time and efforts to ship it back just to get that money back. Let this be a lesson to Tim, who was caught red handed. For me it was more about principle than money.
