It has taking them long enough but with different types of technologies always moving forward the end result looks great. Too bad its too rich for my blood not unlike the first one which at that time was too expensive for me to consider until used examples started to come down in price.

Don't care for the nose, but otherwise an awesome car. Loved the 1st generation. They are already racing a version of this car in Super GT. They didn't have a very good year in 2014, but it takes a while to come to grips with the rules in that series.

It will cost S$600,000.00 in my country..:facepalm:

Beautiful in so many ways and the hp is pretty awesome. The mess grill everywhere is just too much for me

This is definitely a pricey car, but I wouldn't call it an "oil money" only car. Arent they shooting for a 150k starting price?

If total HP is going to be 550, I think they goofed. The weight penalty of the hybrid system is going to push curb weight north of 3,600 lbs (maybe as high as 3,800 would be my guess) so it's not going to be the lightweight handler that the original NSX became famous for. In today's world, 550 HP is just not that impressive at that price point. Not with 650 HP Z06's, 700 HP Dodge's, 600 HP Huracan's, 650 HP McLaren's... etc...

To be successful, this car either had to be lighter than the competition, more powerful, or much better looking, and I don't think they achieved any of those things.

How nice this car I s will be dependent on it's price. If it's a few grand over a Cayman? Awesome!!! If it's GT-R money? Ehhhh? Not quite. If it's 911 turbo money? Ghetdafuccattaheuh!!!!

Additional information about the team's efforts to achieve a true "New Sports Experience" included details of the NSX's world's first body construction process that helped create a multi-material space frame resulting in class-leading body rigidity, the advanced total airflow management system and an update on NSX's power unit specifications. Today's market has so much more to do with the PACKAGE over the HP figure. If you're looking at modern performance cars by only their HP figure, you're doing it wrong. Plain and simple. The McLaren P1 is an example of this. It's heavy. It's faster than Jesus. In all directions. The GT-R Nismo is another example of this. It's short on HP and shorter on torque than the new Z06 Corvette, yet it is faster at Streets of Willow. The package, people. The package.

3800lbs isn't a terrible weight by today's safety standards, either. In the North American market, you gotta make the car fit at least two fat Americans inside (which is why the US-Spec GT-R carries a wider seat base of 2-3 inches), and most of these cars are carrying extra hardware for boosting.

So, to close, yes there will be a penalty in weight for the hybrid system on the car, but we don't know what extra power it will produce. It could produce an additional 200 lb-ft of torque instantly, which will change how the car can perform out of the corners, which could have it trample all over a lot of its competition. We simply don't know enough about the PACKAGE to discredit the car at its pseudo-confirmed price point of $150k.

PS - It looks like a boring ******* Honda even though the designer is hot, so I wouldn't pay for an NSX even if I had the cash unless it included a sleepover with the designer. The end.

If I had the funds - I would test this car. I would imagine it drives quite nicely and has more power and capability than any of us could master to begin with. I reserve judgement until I could drive it. I like the looks of it. Honda does tend to do things well. This will be a rare sight compared to the boatloads of 911s/Vettes etc. Its nice to see Honda back in the game. Id bet most of you if given the chance to drive it and employ its capability would buy it if the check could be written.

A real NSX is made from alluminium, is not a hybrid, is designed with the help of a current F1 driver, makes a current Ferrari feel ashamed of it's performance numbers, inspires the Mclaren bosses and has three foot pedals! Anything short of this doesn't deserve the badge NSX-

Old-man Honda must be rolling in his grave... I mean the front end looks like it's used Civic headlights and has that stupid center arrow-point theme that some lame marketing panel in CA dreamed up to slap on anything with an Acura emblem.

No doubt fast car, but watching MT review on youtube, I thought he was test driving a GTR.

There's no heritage to an NSX. It was Honda's one out of two time fluke good idea that they ran over a decade n were able to get away with very few updates because it is one of the most niche specimens of the 20th century.

The new NSX isn't my cup of tea. I would've preferred a modernized NSX. But it's not like Honda went out of there way to build a heritage car
