But neither of those cars were shown in production guise at the same time as the base model cars... Unlike the Red Sport. I'm sticking to it! Haha

I agree up until the end. The red sport is just the sport model basically. There was talk in the beginning of bumping the power to possibly 450 and added aero possibly upgraded seats.

Sounds pretty lame tame to me, leaves much to be desired. Guess its par for the course when your main clientele is over the age of 65 lol.

That's why I said it needs work. But I can hear in the undertone. The aftermarket will make it sound hot. Right now it sounds like a high revving Alton's

I keep seeing people post pictures of the car on facebook and every time they say "the pictures dont do it justice"

Is it just me or if people have to say that every time pics are posted, that means infiniti kinda failed at the overall design of the body? I said a few times to just stop posting pics if it doesnt make the car look good.

I personally dont like the car at all even though I was waiting for the redesign for a couple years to buy in 2018. Even trying to like it, it just wont happen. I dont dispute anything under the hood but the exterior is a complete miss.

Then again, it was this car or a used RCF in 2018...and we all know how many people dont care for the RCF. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Hahahaha.... I'd buy two Q60'S with DAS before I'd buy one RCF. And we know how much I hate the Idea of DAS. That RCF screams PRETENTIOUS. It's more fake than infiniti steering. The RCF has the biggest identity crisis of any car.

I love the RCF..yea, its not quite an M3 or 4, but all the reviews said stay away from the track with this car, youll be disappointed but for DD use, they really love it. And I love the looks, so sexy.

Was debating between the new Q60 or and S5/RS5, but decided on the Q60 as it looks the best out of the sport luxury coupes. The C63 back is just weird and the shape is too round, the 4/M4 back is horrible and the interior is lacking, the RC/RC-F speaks for itself, couldn't ever drive that thing.

I think a lot of cars look terrible in pictures, but look much better in person. Furthermore many cars look terrible in a certain color (or lack of color...cough* white cough*). The video with Jon Snow with the Q60 in motion I think does it more justice, but never show me a picture or video of a white car and expect me to do be impressed.

The Lexus RC is a car that looks good in pictures and even better in person especially in black. I have the same problem with it that I have with the BMW, Audi, Infiniti, etc... Too many seats, and too much luxury junk. It's for old people with sore backs and worn-out knees that want to commute to work with a sporty-looking car.

I do like Infiniti G/Qs that are tastefully modded though, and I am holding my final opinion about the Q60 aesthetics.

Pearl-white Zs are an exception, but Chevy's arctic white is the worst "color" ever IMO.

Hahahaha.... Sorry. But yeah, you can keep your overpriced wannabe sportlux Bloatmobile.... It has an Amazing interior. I'll give it that much. You step inside and you're wow'd. Everything else.... snooze. All those angular shapes say... "Look at me!!! My car was designed by a geometry nerd who was high on cocaine and alcohol. "

Does look pretty mean in black. However, the graphite shadow is so sleek! I am debating between those 2 colors when I decided to pick one up!

Silver is the best color. I'm just sick of white cars. White cars are everywhere. So are silver cars but Nissan makes the most standout silver out there outside if Ferrari.

What I do know is that the independent YouTube videos are for some reason, grabbing better angles of the Q and it looks a whole lot better in the wild than ANY of the previous promo videos.

I just looked at this car and it appears to be like a Nissan Altima 2 door. The supposed sporty looking model. I am not a fan of the 2 door.

RicerX 08-31-2016 11:11 AM

The rear quarter of this car in a dark color... OMG.

Can't wait to see the Red Sport in person. That black one Unknown linked to wasn't even a Sport and it looks amazing.

That red color that carries a premium pricing option is going to be nothing short of stunning in person.

I'm cooler with the vents on the fenders after I found out they're functional. I can always color match what's there or black it out.

Dammit... I'm planning mods. Does this mean I'm buying one of these?

Went to see a new Iridium Blue one at the dealership here and it looks pretty sick in person. It was not the RS model but still looks very nice!

cv129 09-01-2016 03:40 PM

The RS trim isn't announced yet. I also wonder if that red exterior color is reserved for RS trim, it's not showing on the Q60 build website.

I am quite disappointed by the interior. Same center console we've been seeing in Q50 since 2013...interior color options are uninspiring, choose whatever you want as long as it's black/grey/white. I don't think the OEM wheels do this car justice either.

Seats look very nice though, however.

Maybe I'll go check it out in person.

I agree, the interior is a serious weak point of this otherwise great car. I think I heard/read the interior will be changed by 2018 along with 3D navigation.

Couple questions on the AWD vs RWD if anyone knows the answer. Is the suspension the same on both, same height, same tuning (the G generation was not), and how is the AWD activated? From an Infiniti release it said it was 100% to the rear "unless conditions or a loss of traction is detected". Other than a loss of traction what other conditions are monitored?

it's the same Attesa ETS style used on previous AWD Skylines and G's. it monitors wheel speed and wheel slip percentage. based on which wheels have the most traction it will transfer power where it can be best used. this helps keep the car pointed where you want it to go and helps you drive straight in slippery road conditions. (snow / mud)

RicerX 09-13-2016 08:43 AM

Having seen the cars in person, suspension height is different on AWD vs RWD, with AWD being slightly raised.

The suspension and everything is exactly the same between the two. The RWD sits at 54.5 while AWD sits at 54.9, so pretty much negligible. I plan the get the AWD version as it will be better at putting the power down.

I love the power this car is putting out and everything. It's just, at least imo, not a very good looking car. I much rather the G37 appearance over the Q60. The Q60 looks kind of boring. :/

are those the same wheels off the Q50 redsport? If so, those wheels look great on the sedan. my buddy has the redsport sedan and it is real nice looking.

not dat im a fan of the Q50..

I saw the q60RS in person today at the Orange County Auto show. I love the rear end front end design. I think the cars line are great. Well done in my opinion.

Magic Bus 10-12-2016 07:59 PM

Went and saw one at the Infiniti dealership yesterday. While I think it's a nice looking car, it's just too big and heavy or me.
