Edit: that 707hp is true numbers. I went to Detroit this summer to the Chrysler museum in Detroit, and a senior, i would compare this gentleman, as the Chrysler's Carol Shelby. This was prior to true numbers.and.vehicle.actually released to public. Full race adjustable suspension with that crazy hp!!
Yeah the Vette is legendary... But.if you're a power American Muscle car guy...
This Hell Cat will be worth 1,000,000 times more than that new Vette. Just like trying to buy a true 70' Hemi Challenger vs a 70' Vette.... Anyone watch Classic car auctions??? End of story
The seats for that car looks terrible... Would take a vette over that.

Cant argue with the Vette. The price/performance ratio is amazing. You are getting a super car for under 100k the GTR is the only other car i can think of that does that. But oyu cant escape 2 realities.

-Gas mileage is horrible. But I dont think you would care about that if you buy that car.

-Its american. To alot of people including myself american cars just feel "cheap" and are not as appealing.

Im pretty sure that stock for stock that vette could take out a GTR but I bet the GTR is a much better car to own, and it looks alot better (in my opinion)

It gets better mileage than the 370z

Exactly. I don't care how big of a "deal" the car is, it is still a Chevy Corvette. Most American cars just don't spark my interest.

If we are being totally unbiased here I have a soft spot for Audi's lol I think they are beautiful cars! But I dont trust german cars. But I wouldnt mind owning a sweet audi lol

Example -

The Audi is the superior looking vehicle of these two.

I don't understand that conception. If anything, the paint quality on the GT-R alone would turn me off. A car that costs $110k shouldn't have worse orange peel than a $15k Ford Fiesta.

For the most part paint quality in the auto world is terrible. Let me send you some pics of a friends Ferrari F12 out of the factory. Peel doesnt begin to describe it.

Ive yet to see many production machines here or in the US if im visiting that dont have peel. The worst paint on any car Ive owned was on my 370. My GTi put that to shame in terms of depth and peel. Loved my Z but the paint was a battle from day 1. I think the GTi was made on 'good' paint day. Ive seen other that were total crap of course.

Agreed, my GTI paint was done on a "good" day as well, better than my 370z. However I wish the GTI internals were done on a good day, 6 trips to the dealer for warranty repairs in 3 years. Keeping my fingers crossed as bumper to bumper is now over on the GTI.

How you liking the M235i?

Magic,

My GTi was solid.
So far the M235i is great. We take it on the road for the next 3-4 days into Switzerland down to Lake Geneva. This car does things right. I very much like it. Test one if you have not done so. Thanks for asking. So far so good!
