This may have been mentioned already but..
Since 2nd gear tops out at 59mph they had to shift to third get get to 60. That adds a good amount of time to the 0-60. Acceleration isn't bad at all for a 2.0 I want one for a daily

I didn't take that into consideration. Regardless though, this car was never meant for the drag strip.

Saw A BRZ Friday
I actually saw one of these BRZ's driving last Friday. Must have been a tester or something, or a dealer around here got one early, but my friend Erick and I were coming back from lunch and there it was, right next to us. I got a decent look at it sitting at the light from a rearward angle. It was cool to see, but in reality I found it about as interesting as a Genesis. I think once you've seen a few of them around it's just not going to be all that special. Perhaps my feelings will change, but that's my first impression.

What does everyone think the best trans would be in the BRZ, MT or AT? And why?

Even at 4k or 5k, I would still be dissapointed in the price point, not the performance mind you. I just really feel like if a car company would produce a vehicle with ~260hp for around the 24k-26k range, we would have an amazing winner of a car.
