I think the one on the right is a porsche carrera gt, but i still dont know the one on the left

UNKNOWN_370 11-04-2014 11:38 PM

The one on the left is a modified Mitsubishi 3000gt, likely the VR4 model.
The one on the right looks like a modified Toyota MR2, I believe?

Zoren 370 11-05-2014 04:47 AM

More like a toyota Supra the right one?

BC416 11-05-2014 09:25 AM

Carrera GT on the right. Either Mitsu. 3000GT or Dodge Stealth on the left.

JARblue 11-05-2014 12:13 PM

I don't think there's any question that the one on the right is a Carrera GT.

The one of the left is a little more difficult, but I'm pretty sure it's a Dodge Stealth with a widebody kit.

Definitely a converted MR2 and a Stealth/3000GT.

I thought it was a Carrera GT, but if you've ever seen one in person, you know it's a LOOOOOOOOOOONG car. And the one the OP posted isn't that long really, so I doubt it's an authentic GT

Truth. I think you're right, but the photos are from weird angles and perspective can be incredibly difficult to judge in some photos. I just couldn't find a modified MR2 that looked remotely close. I mean the headlight, front bumper, doors, rear fender, side mirrors... they are all exactly the same as the Carrera photo I posted (basically everything except the roof scoop). I've seen MR2 with similar door and rear fenders and lines in general... but not exactly the same. Of course, that's not to say it hasn't been done.

Pix For > Custom Toyota Mr2 Spyder

I found this modded MR2 and the headlights are slightly different but the side is near exact. Those may be modified headlights to fit that extreme body kit.

This MR2 one looks pretty spot on, including the headlights (side is similar but not exact), but I still don't think the one in OP is an MR2. The key difference I can see is the hood line. Notice that with even the highly modified MR2, the hood line still runs straight across the hood and along the inside of the head lights. However, in the Carrera this space is just storage, so the "hood" doesn't extend all the way to the headlights and is a different size and shape.

Yup, after looking at the one on the right more - it isn't nearly as long enough in the rear to be a Carrera GT. MR2 conversion like others have said is most likely.

JARblue 11-05-2014 01:44 PM

If it is indeed an MR2, that's some serious front fender and hood work to get that hood line.

I'm still not convinced. While it looks like that blue MR2 tried to recreate the Carrera hood lines, you can still see the obvious horizontal line go all the way across the hood from headlight to headlight in addition to the line from the back of the headlight to the windshield on top of the front fender hump. You just don't see anything like that on the Carrera GT or the red car in the OP. Like I said, if it is indeed an MR2 it was some serious body work to alter those lines.
