But it is that extra 2% that makes the difference, sir!

The final gen 3000GT/GTO had a couple small differences. I applied my analytical rice rocket powers to the pictures we had on hand and made the following deductions:

1) The GTO had power folding mirrors, unlike the 3000GT, and there is a substantial gap between the door and the mirror mount, indicating that, while the mirrors may be aftermarket, they would have to mount to a housing that facilitates rotation of the assembly.

2) The GTO also used amber lights in the rear taillight assembly. It is also unlawful in many non-US countries to have taillights that do not have color differentiation between taillight and turn signal.

3) The rear bumper doesn't look aftermarket at all, save for a lower rear diffuser, which could be added to the factory bumper. Either way, the rear bumper has the wider opening for license plates of international origin rather than US-spec.

Now I know what you're thinking - each one of those deductions is thin. But BEHOLD - when their powers combine, and you combine them with the following facts -

1) YattCar (the watermark in each of the photos) originates from Thailand.
2) THERE ARE ASIANS EVERYWHERE IN THE PICTURE

I, sir, can safely conclude that the red car in question is indeed a Mitsubishi GTO.

I rest my case.
