Z replacement
I love to plan for the next car. im guessing I will have the Z 2-3 more years then upgrade to something I will have in the garage for quite some time.
I have been thinking about it a lot lately as, I will have to plan for this one financially because its going to be my garage queen. that being said this is my short list.... subject to change frequently.
Couple of things.... I am not a fan of the Vette scene, but that car is a beast. The C63AMG not sure it would have the staying power, will wait to judge it when the finally release a coupe version. The Aston, its my dream car. I have a friend who is a GM at a Aston Dealer and im sure he can get me into a very gently used one. BMW M6 like the AMG, not sure it does enough to draw me in and keep me there. the 911 GT3, its a bad *** car. Also not a huge fan of used cars. on the aston i know those are not typically beat on, more of a gentlemans car. Suppose I could look at the Jag F type too. and before you ask, I use to want one, but I no longer wish to own a GTR. they are way to common here and unless it comes up with a huge refresh not on my short list. Cars missing? anyone else like to plan for the next? whats on your short list? |
Just a point of reference, you want something uncommon, but all the cars you list are more common than the GTR. If you are not a fan that is cool, but GTRs are not that common, if I go to Las Vegas, Phoenix or LA metropolitan areas you will see the cars you listed and many which are twice as expensive as well.

Nice list.
Alfa Romeo 4C turbo (if and when it comes out) Audi R8 S No on the Vette unless it is a Hennessy or Callaway. |

NYC, BMW and Mercedes is driven more frequently than accords and camrys. I've never seen more than 2 GTR'S in a week. 911's are practically a daily occurance. |
For me M4 before the M6 unless you insist on spending more money. 911 GT3 would be great, how much can you find one for up there? Same boat as you, would like to order a car towards the end of 2016 for early delivery in 2017 (tax reasons, well that's what I keep telling myself and my wife, lol).
I hope the Z comes up with something close to the C7, then I'd just get that. Love the quality and dependability of Japanese cars made in Japan. Started a thread on M4 versus Lexus RCF but the Lexus is coming in at almost 4,000 lbs, so thats out. |
My list looks like this. Two cars tie for first...
1. Nissan GT-R Nismo/Mercedes AMG GT-S 2. Porsche 911 GT-3 ([GT-3RS] if they do it?) 3. Corvette ZO6 4. Jaguar F type R. I'd bypass all of them if I could afford a Ferrari Berlinetta F12 |
