2015 z06 corvette

Wow just incredible most bang for your buck supercar and killer exotic looks for 80k sorry I love the gtr but I would select this car instead just for the fact you can get a manual gear box paddle shifters even through it is quicker.

so basically you just called all the drivers in F1 racing, fags? lol jk :p

Firebase99 10-07-2014 09:01 AM

I read about this a few days and was blown away by the stats. The only catch is GM is the only one that has tested it. Id like to see VERY close numbers be duplicated outside of GM. Nonetheless, talk about BADASS!!!

janglez 10-07-2014 09:38 AM

LOVE that car... gazed at it for about 45 minutes at the cleveland auto show... then walked around the new viper for another 45... and was only there for like 3 hours... half my time on two cars... they were SWEET

kenchan 10-07-2014 11:17 AM

thought i read the vettes can hit 60 in 1st gear? no need to shift?

another manly manual guy who still calls paddles faggy.....although they are quicker and better. as even stated above.

let me guess first response is "real drivers buy manuals" right?

that douchey remark aside the 2015 Z06 is just an absolute monster and i really want one :yum:

kenchan 10-07-2014 11:58 AM

so if there's no shifting the AT and MT are equal to 60mph?

thats wat mag-racers all care about. 0-60mph times and mpg. lol

kenchan 10-07-2014 11:59 AM

wats the mpg on that vette?

 :gtfo2:

For the most part they are very effeminate.

Now about the paddle shifters...

I drove an automatic M4 a few weeks back and evaluated the paddle shifters. They seemed very responsive and now I am having second thoughts about getting the manual over the automatic transmission in the next vehicle I buy.

Correct me if i'm wrong but most decent/high end sport cars nowaday are faster with auto than manual ?
I love the paddle shifters on my Z :eekdance:

Tadpole 10-09-2014 04:00 PM

Another one??? How many threads and posts do we have to have to show everyone that paddled autos are the way to go? :stirthepot:

Better than our Z's. I get 16.9 mpg in my Z. I was getting 19+ mpg in my 08 C6 with a big nasty cam and head work. On the highway I would get 30 mpg, no BS.

BlackZeda 10-09-2014 05:54 PM

So how does one not pay the dealer premium on a new Vette? I was going to call around to other dealerships, but the one nearest to me wants 10K over sticker. For the Z06, 25K.

Boost_lee 10-09-2014 09:28 PM

I agree on the markup too. I wouldnt be surprised to see people pay that much over the base price.
The C6 Z could get 30mpg on the hwy, I hope this one does too. And thats the first vette that I actually like in yellow.

Maybe I'll start saving my pennies :icon14:

Wait a year?

The new Vette is on my short list. I'll probably never be able to get one, but one can dream right?

Shop around. Sportscars trade hands fast and the demographic for this car has mega back problems - ie, the average buyer AINT part of the Fast n Furious generation.
There will be no shortage of Vette's and have not been for years.
Nice car it is. Worth a premium? Not at all. Its a fantastic production line car. Avail cars will in short order out number buyers. Plus get it 6month-1 yr old and let some other older cat with back problems eat the depreciation. Do not over pay - its a Vette not a Veyron.

premium........on a vette? i'm lost.

maybe to get the first Z06 lol

if you get a regular C7 there should be no mark up. i already am finding 14's with big discounts on them.

Tadpole 10-10-2014 10:13 AM

I'm getting 22.5mpg on my daily commute and 27 on the highway. I also drive on the Texas autobahn humming along 80 -95 mph too.

i kinda wish i had a highway drive to work. i would get a much higher MPG. mine is just regular roads with plenty of stop signs and redlights :shakes head:

best part is though one road is a backroad with twisties. makes the drive home everyday more enjoyable.

My experience with the BMW and Chevy dealerships has helped me come to the decision to keep my Z and eventually mod the hell out of it. The M4 and Stingray are both intriguing cars, but the 370Z looks as good if not better than either, and I swear when I get into it after driving anything else it feels like a hovercraft (no resistance to the ground). In Colorado I think any car needs a little extra boost to make up for the altitude power loss.

I am going to come up with a wicked paint scheme for my baby :excited:

This is a C7 Z06 with the Z07 track package. It was looking very macho. There was a guy trying to convince the dealer to test drive it. You can imagine how that conversation went...

The only problem with it was that it was a slow manual.

90 ST 07-05-2015 09:41 PM

I've always been a believer that a MT will make a slow car quick, but an AT with make a quick car Fast!
