Better than our Z's. I get 16.9 mpg in my Z. I was getting 19+ mpg in my 08 C6 with a big nasty cam and head work. On the highway I would get 30 mpg, no BS.

So how does one not pay the dealer premium on a new Vette? I was going to call around to other dealerships, but the one nearest to me wants 10K over sticker. For the Z06, 25K.

I agree on the markup too. I wouldnt be surprised to see people pay that much over the base price.
The C6 Z could get 30mpg on the hwy, I hope this one does too. And thats the first vette that I actually like in yellow. Maybe I'll start saving my pennies ![]()

The new Vette is on my short list. I'll probably never be able to get one, but one can dream right?

There will be no shortage of Vette's and have not been for years. Nice car it is. Worth a premium? Not at all. Its a fantastic production line car. Avail cars will in short order out number buyers. Plus get it 6month-1 yr old and let some other older cat with back problems eat the depreciation. Do not over pay - its a Vette not a Veyron. |

maybe to get the first Z06 lol if you get a regular C7 there should be no mark up. i already am finding 14's with big discounts on them.

I'm getting 22.5mpg on my daily commute and 27 on the highway. I also drive on the Texas autobahn humming along 80 -95 mph too.

My experience with the BMW and Chevy dealerships has helped me come to the decision to keep my Z and eventually mod the hell out of it. The M4 and Stingray are both intriguing cars, but the 370Z looks as good if not better than either, and I swear when I get into it after driving anything else it feels like a hovercraft (no resistance to the ground). In Colorado I think any car needs a little extra boost to make up for the altitude power loss.
I am going to come up with a wicked paint scheme for my baby ![]() |
