A very sad time in automotive history.....some of us lived through it....from remembering the 60 muscle cars of parents and uncles as we grew up to the 70's smog pumped chocked engines and the gas crisis to the 80's garbage that we had to drive, with bold new stickers and T-Tops. You "kids" under 35 have no idea how great you have it now with all the really great cars to choose from. The 70's and 80's were bleak....I will not watch that video.

I think the 82 camaro and 5.0 were the two cars that took us out of that era brother... Then came the T type, grand national, monnte carlo SS, The cougar xr7, Cutlass 442. Later on the Taurus SHo n 5.0 thunderbird SC. Those cars in the 80's were the reason why the japanese got so competitive in the 90's. Not only giving us muscle car power with half the discplacement, but also giving us supercar handling.
1974-1981 were the bleak years.

I had an 87 monte carlo ss back in 90. Paid $4,000 for it loaded 30,000 miles. That was a steal!!!!

I like how back in 1982 a 200 HP Camaro was a dangerous weapon, but today a car that is 500 lbs lighter with the same HP is laughably slow.
