Kawasaki H2R, 300hp supercharged motorcycle
Today Kawasaki unveiled the much anticipated H2R, and holy cow it has a supercharged 1000cc engine making 300hp. The power-to-weight ratio of this thing is off the charts.
I've owned a 1000cc bike before and it "only" produced ~180hp and it was plenty fast. I can't imagine riding a bike with an extra 120 ponies. Interesting to see how the traction control and abs will work with this monster. Too bad it's track-only for now, but they did mention a street-legal version coming out later this year. Here's an article on the bike: 2015 Kawasaki Ninja H2R Unveiled at INTERMOT 2014 Motorcycle Show http://www.cycleworld.com/wp-content...YSLFA00D_C.jpg http://www.cycleworld.com/wp-content...YSRBA00D_C.jpg http://www.cycleworld.com/wp-content...RYSFA00D_C.jpg http://www.cycleworld.com/wp-content...DETAILS-03.jpg |
wow...Im a kawai fan as I have a 636 myself...this thing must hit ludicrous speed.

If they sell a street legal version, it had better come with a donor card. It's an impressive bit of engineering, but it's too much bike for 99% of the population.
I wonder if it is possible to drop one of these into a Miata. LOL I read somewhere that it had a 14k redline.
Is it weird that i kinda want to make love to it?? :leghump:
Jeebus, my 04 gixxer 1000 put 178hp to the wheel and it made my cornhole pucker. This is not for the faint of heart.
Omg. I want one.
Way too much unusable horsepower. My 02 blackbird was a beast with 145hp at the wheel.
I...just came.......drooooollllll!!!

You'll never get insurance

Even for the street version, getting insurance on this will be hard and/or expensive. For the track only version of the bike, if you get a loan you will have to have insurance for the bike itself, not liabiity.

I would at least get life insurance.
