World's greatest drag race 4

I was disappointed in this years MT drag race. Where was the C7 and new Viper? I was actually surprised by the winner.

I don't know. Porsche has really been on it this year. That 911 turbo makes my man bits tingle.

As for the other models. That's really a good question.

The GT-R would have still beaten them both, but it would be more interesting than that Fiesta and GTI.

Should be interesting when the 650HP C7 Z06 comes out. :happydance:
The C7 normally is a high 11-low 12 sec so right between the Jag and M4

I wasnt because the drag race is and always has been staged to finish in the order based on past individual tests. what you are seeing in the video isnt the times they display...the GTR ran that 11.1@125.3 back in July and the Turbo S ran that 10.9 in like the spring. That's how MT does it

the GTR in general is hurt by 91 octane by at least 20+ HP. the NISMO uses more aggressive ignition timing and a larger fuel pump to get the extra HP so 93 or better is even more critical for it. the car has larger turbos that spool a bit slower so its actually about 1 tenth slower 0-60 so it needs all its top end power to make up for the down low power delivery differences

GT3-derived turbos give it a meatier mid-range. Its 600 horses and 481 lb-ft were always at the ready, yet the higher output didn't shove us as tenaciously into the Recaros as we expected. The lackluster straight-line gravitas was most likely because of the 91 octane fuel we were forced to use; the Nismo is tuned for 93 and above.

They're also based in California where 93 isn't readily available.
