Nissan was always the Japanese Ford.
And Mitsubishi the Japanese GM. Honda, Toyota, and Mazda have -- at least historically and to the best of my knowledge -- been among the most reliable of cars, and pretty much in that order. Still, I'm quite happy with my Japanese Mustang ![]()
