I dunno. Those Honda and 90's RSX with their fart cans. Those piece of ***** with exhaust dangling and gutted interior are the worst. Just yesterday I'm driving and it was a 90's civic, maybe RSX, real **** box either way, revving at me at the stop light. Just put windows up and still heard it farting as it made its turn. God awful.

They thought and hoped the camaro would have the same drawbacks. But Chevy pulled through like champeens baby!!! 250lb average for weight reduction The fastest camaro in history. Then mustang fans thought the 350GT Would be the resurrection of mustang. Go find the thread on here. LMFAO. You'll see me saying the 350 won't cut it and others throwing me mustang history, pedigree and competitiveness.... Now we're here. The mustang didn't cut it. It's an awesome car though.... But mustang fanboys are either over glorifying it or making excuses for it. As far as mullets go.... any muscle car is a mullet machine. Chevy, Ford, Dodge. Lol. I'm not a muscle car guy.... but I have a muscle car soul. Looking from the outside in objectively. Camaro!!

The ZL1 is really starting to grow on me. I test drove a ZL1 a couple years ago and was really impressed that even though it was a big, heavy car (you could feel it compared to the Z) it was more nimble than I expected. But it really seemed that it needed all that horsepower to get it there. Now that they shaved off some weight and increased the horsepower I imagine they closed that gap big-time. Next is to check it out in-person.
I think I would wait a year though so they can work the kinks out and save a whole bunch of money. |

The 2017 ZL1 with a model year or two on it well be an absolute monster value. I found the first gen to be a serious amount of fun. Stupid power, yet surprisingly competent. The Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires that were equipped on the car I drove were fantastic, but definitely not something you wanted to bury the throttle with during cold temperatures. When I first drove it, it was about 48 degrees out, and I mildly stepped into the throttle in third gear going around 40mph and the back end stepped out effortlessly. What I did like about it is I found the car to be very predictable and more connected to the driver than I expected. It was really fun when I got to play with it on a 90 degree day during the summer. Don't get me wrong - you can still roast the tires on this car anytime, anywhere - but it was nice having the extra sticky tires on there to really feel how much power this thing put to the ground. Lots of grip, fantastic suspension, stupid power, and piss poor visibility I'm super curious to try out this next gen Camaro. I told my wife that I was surprisingly smitten by the new one, and I tend to find American sports cars boring (save the Vette from a driving standpoint and the Viper from an everything standpoint).

This gen camaro is on another level. I drove the 1LE of last gen and I found the handling Yo be shocking. As you know the 1LE was the N/A ZL-1 The main thing that GM pushed gives that will have you addicted is TORQUE... The shove into the seat Chevy provides is awesome. Then when you combine it's handling capability. It just takes the game somewhere else for the money...

The most IMPRESSIVE AFFORDABLE BASE CAR TO DATE! Is the Z obsolete now in terms of features and tech for the money? My answer is YES! Unless the base Z becomes the sport tech package with a price tag of $32,000? The base Z is obsolete.

Not gonna lie - I'm blown away by the numbers the base car is putting down. 5.5s to 60 in a "big ***" Camaro with a 2.0T. With 275hp. Methinks offering a V6 in there is almost pointless now. I think it's a formality that the V6 is even offered in the Mustang and Camaro so they don't shock their buyers by chopping the V6 altogether. I think they'd freak some of their casual buyers out by saying "well we only have a four cylinder and a V8 available now." Most people still associate four cylinder motors with cars like the Versa.
The power figure alone justifies my criticism against the supposedly soon-to-be offered 2.0T in the Q50 that will make a measly 205hp. It's a different car in a different segment altogether... but it just seems like a really weak offering. Especially when this Camaro is going to be $25k all over the place and still be pretty damn quick. A Q50 with 205hp will be lucky to see faster than 7s to 60. Dude in the video is a total goober, btw. But he does the job. |

I think for the budget conscious. The one size fits all 2.0 get it all in one bundle comes at an amazing price and it's so well done. A buyer would never feel like he settled. If you look at the POV footage in the review the camaro is so stiff and nimble. Considering it's only pulling .90g of flat accel. It looks like on the roads it's capable of more. In a 1g world we forget how good having .90g felt in a sports car. Chevy reminds us that we can do more with less. And the bargain car doesn't have to be a POS. ALL This CAMARO needs is Tint & Wheels and it's ready to roll. Intake exhaust n tune. You're in the 380hp level with just a couple grand. Truly an amazing package. I'm stoked. OMG.... then you have a very worthy GM suspension parts bin. Wow!
