These are the first spy shots... Looks very evolutionary from what we can see.I'm not expecting huge changes in design based on these photos.

Nice find, still looks like it is gonna be a boat. I'm intrigued by the other boat. Dodge hellcat, horsepower is stupid!

Because they are ugly, atavistic monsters; Neanderthals with enormous, overhanging brows, slack jaws, and hairy, callused hamfists that scrape the ground as they move.

On that note, does this latest iteration have an IRS like the latest Mustang?

Lot of hate on the Camaro when it's actually a really good car. My fiancé had a 2010 SS 6-speed for four years and I loved it. Still preferred my 370z NISMO over it at the time but a solid car none the less. Easy to drive fast and handled very well given it's size/weight. My Z would barely keep up in the straights and was only slightly faster on your average auto-x course.

Last year she traded it in for a 2014 Camaro 1LE which back then was very obscure and only recently has come to light in the general population. I was surprised how much better the Camaro became with the 1LE package. So much so that I almost got my own 1LE after selling my Z earlier this year. The Camaro 1LE is faster in both a straight line and on a road course compared to the Z, much easier to drive faster, more confident inspiring, essentially it does everything better than the Z in my opinion from a performance standpoint. Yes you can argue the looks or interior or whatever. Personally interiors as long as they are decent don't mean **** to me. As for looks I still prefer the look of the Z but I love the mean look of the 14's 1LE. Given the option I'd take a 1LE over any option from the Z.

I bet this new generation will be better, or at least I hope so. If they carry over all the good things of the current generation on a smaller and lighter frame it will be very hard to compete with. Given Nissan and pretty much every other Japanese companies unwillingness to push performance cars forward I don't have high hopes for the next gen Z.

All this coming from someone who has owned a Z since he was 17 which at this point is half my life. Nissan really needs to do something special if it wants me back into a new Z. Otherwise I'll be happy with my old Z's going forward.

Yup, the Knight Rider era Camaro/Firebird aka the C3, was the first to have independent rear suspension.

I think the C6 silhouette is somewhat reminiscent of the C3

Because each year it is just enough of a change to get someone on edge to go ahead and buy one. I really have no idea but that sounds good to me Lol. I agree with the Hellcat comment though. I would be buying that instead!

So basically they are doing a Hyundai. Changing shape and facelift every year. I personally would like to get a car that stays the same shape for a little bit longer than a one year.

does anyone know where they sell this masks that cover the entire car, i would use on on my Z and see what reaction I get from ppl. Funny thing is that every Camaro driver stares at my Z and expects me to do the same...sorry but like someone said on another thread, when they start selling these ponies they seem to open the stables all at once and before you know it, even my next door neighbor who is an old lady has one, go figure

Also this is not an annual face-lift. it is a new chassis therefore it is a redesign.
