Ok so some of my non-driving thoughts on Camaro Vs. Mustang:
- I like the exterior design of the Mustang better. In person it has more of a sporty GT-type feel to it. The Camaro still looks good, but from some angles it doesn't give a "sports car" vibe. - On the interior, I think the Camaro definitely has a more "modern" look and feel to it, but I don't like the placement of some of the bits. It's very stylized while the Mustang is a bit more classic in approach. I still like it, though. Materials are really good, like the new Mustang, with a bit more use of soft-touch leather (either real or synthetic) on the doors and the center tunnel. I like the look of the Mustang steering wheel and the feel of the Camaro's. - Mustang has a more open feel to it on the inside, Camaro is more claustrophobic. Both still have a great aggressive feeling with the long hoods and relatively low seating position. Either way they both appear to be fantastic values for the money. You really get a lot with both of the cars, and depending on your personal preferences, you can't go wrong with either.

Good video subaruwrxfan posted today. He is right that similarly configured there is about a $5k difference with the Camaro being more expensive. Of course you get the HUD, mag ride, heated steering wheel, and dual mode exhaust with the Camaro. Mustang might be easier to live with every day with more space and better visibility. I am not really interested in buying a new car right now, but I would like to get out and drive the Camaro on a nice day. I still prefer the look of the Mustang. It gives me a positive emotional response whereas I have no real reaction to the Camaro. I would be interested to see if that changes after driving it. I drove the Mustang some time ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, though I felt like it still needed a bit more damping and spring rate. However the stock suspension was very comfortable and felt perfect for grand touring duty. Curious to see if you could fit a car seat in either...
