The Z/28 wasn't really meant to auto-x, it's a road car.

I agree. I'm just saying that I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a car with its particular set of compromises.

Ironically, Ford's Mustang (the last couple iterations anyway) has done much better on course than it's specs on paper would have suggested. I'm curious to see how this new one will perform.

Are you fat too? That would be icing on the cake, icing you'd probably eat if you were fat lol.

Bring me a nice fat Firebird -- otherwise, I don't care, although from a strictly technical standpoint, I'm disappointed. Adding a modern suspension shouldn't carry hundreds of extra pounds with it...

I'll hold out for a slightly skinnier Z35, whatever Toyota makes of the FT1 (if anything) or, if I have the money, a boosted Z4.

If those numbers are true then it's not too bad. +89 lbs for the GT Manual, which is probably an improvement since you are ditching the 100+ lbs of unsprung live axle and most likely shifting the balance rearward and closer to 50/50. Would have been nice to actually drop weight, but it's still going to be a ringer.
