Funny how the new car always wins, right? Gotta make that ad money.

Oh, come on. You didn't like that? It was as enlightening and unbiased as an afternoon spent watching Fox news. :rofl2:

See the bigger issue in the end they really never say the Z/28 wins, they just like it better. Co-worker who has a camaro sent it to me and then replied with, GT-R broke a lug nut so they could not do a hot lap. This screams, GM paid to keep any real results off the review, just post about how it feels nice and is better looking interior and nicer finish because that matters in a track day car.

Yeah, but it's a yahoo article. Expecting a good auto review from Yahoo is like expecting correct spelling and punctuation in a youtube comment.

shadoquad 03-25-2014 04:52 PM

crappy article. All that buildup for a loose lugnut.

Z_ealot 03-25-2014 07:40 PM

how the hell did the lug nut even come loose in the first place and for that matter, wouldnt you have checked that in your track prep time?

ImportConvert 03-27-2014 01:06 AM

Well, at least I'm not the only one who got a Nissan that had abused lug-nuts.

Seriously, though, this drums up interest in both cars. They don't care what you are saying, as long as you are talking/thinking about them! Benefits both companies with the drama, and gets the source readers. Yay for yellow journalism.

GM paid somebody well!

This came out yesterday, which I actually thought this was going to link to:

2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 vs. 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition! - Head 2 Head Ep. 52 - YouTube

I won't spoil the ending, but suffice to say the GT-R smokes the Camaro in a straight line (duh), but is much more game when it comes to road and track use. If nothing else, we should be happy with the progress Mustang and Camaro have made to make their cars actually enjoy any sort of turn.

Then again, the GT-R is still more or less a 5 year-old vehicle.
