"The electric car maker showcases vehicles at two “galleries” in Austin and Houston, but employees are prohibited from discussing prices or other aspects of buying the vehicles, which must be delivered to buyers in an unmarked truck and then be unwrapped by the buyers."

Yep, in the Galleria location they cannot talk price, test driving, etc. Basically they can show you the options you can add to the car but anything more they direct you to the website.
Delivery is also very blah compared to other states, where you have a personal assistant basically show up and do a full tour of the car when it arrives, in Texas they drop it off and leave. :shakes head:

Honestly, I think Elon is sort of betting on Texas.
If he can somehow get Texas to change the law to allow his direct to consumer sales, and has to put a factory in our state he, Elon, wins. After that it will be a short step to start changing over other states to allow it.

And I assume Perry has his eyes set on a higher office and needs to start making his name nationally known...hint hint.

Yeah, he's trying to make up for being outed as a complete retard the last time he was put in the national spotlight.

As long as the dealers keep funneling more cash to legislators than Elon does, nothing's going to chage regardless of Governor ******* flip flopping on another issue to try and be on the right side for once in his career.
