Maserati's first ever commercial

...and it's brilliant.

The Ghibli looks great and sounds amazing.

And it's not really a Maserati price, at $67,000.

Pretty hot car. Great price.

kenchan 02-04-2014 11:41 AM

i think totoro when i see ghibli...

Thought it was 1 of the better commercials. I think the reason u like the g37 errr Q60 because it kinda of looks like Ghibli.

Maserati's aren't that expensive compared to what you expect in the first place... Whichever moron decided to make this car should be shot... Really brings down the brand name... And GOD KNOWS this car will break down within the warranty period, and every .5 miles out of it

bdavis89 02-05-2014 10:10 AM

I thought this was a stupid commercial. I didn't care what it was for by the time they got to the end. Then it turned out to be a Maserati? Yeah, can't afford it anyways

$130,000 for the GranTurismo.

They're no Ferrari, but I think they look sweet and are still quite expensive in the realm of cars.

The Ghibli is pretty nice. Not quite the same mean front-end as the GT, but man that engine purrs. :yum:

If they can turn that into a coupé and for that price, it may just be my next car.

Haboob 02-05-2014 10:17 AM

And I know someone will bring it up, yes, for $100,000 you can get a GTR, BUT... I want something that is fast and looks sexy too. The GTR isn't that. The Maserati is.

And for high 60's, this doesn't look bad at all, to me.

I will LMAO when that day comes brother. I feel bad for people who BUY Italian or German cars... Especially a Maserati... You're asking for $300 oil changes, $1000 brake jobs, $600 radiator fluid flushes, and god forbid anything actually breaks... It will cost $10000 to fix

Chuck33079 02-05-2014 10:44 AM

Italian cars make German cars look reliable. :rofl2: You know it's bad when Audi bought Lambo and the cars broke less.

That's why the whole Fiat/Chrysler marriage amuses me to no end. Now the Italians are going to make Chryslers less reliable? How? Do they explode when you unlock the car to get in it?

If I'm paying that much for a car I'm not worried about the maintenance (oil changes, etc.) and the breaking... that's hit or miss and is the same with every brand.

The bad always stick out more than the good.

It's just sad that American and Asian manufacturers can't make aesthetically pleasing body designs. Aside from the Z, there's not a single other Asian or American car out there that I would gawk at that's still in production today.

Yes Italian and German cars suck...really? Lets talk about Toyota and recalls etc. No car manufacturer has an issue free existence.
The new Ghibili is fantastic and if any of you keyboard testers here would actually go drive it - you would be astonished and probably scheme a way to get one! The sound of that motor alone makes it worth it. If you want cheap easy Toyota maintenance and the lack of passion that goes with....have fun! I know where my money would go.....and it wont be with me in the grave.

From a reliability standpoint, they lag the Japanese significantly. That's a fact. That's not a matter of opinion, nor it is in some way lessened because a Japanese car had a recall.

They look, sound and drive great. They just have more issues.

:icon17: but we all know some are consistently worse than others...

and it better be good if someone's going to be paying top dollar for a specialty car.
