Is it just me? The FT-1's profile just look like the 370z. Almost identical.

I expect some the areo will be lost in translation -- but that's okay. This belongs in the Z range of price, not the GT-R. Hell, the LF-A doesn't exactly run rings around the GT-R, and it costs 5 times as much. I'm hoping Toyota will keep this as a Nissan Z fighter -- and I for one would certainly strongly consider it as an alternative. And as a bonus

I don't think we have a chance of this car being in the Z range. Inflation puts the 98 Supra cost close to 70k currently. That is if I remember correctly and they were around 50k for the TT version.
My guess is 80-90k.

I think it will be priced in the lower to mid 40s. Ask Andrew he still hates me for it.

well then if we're going to go by that example then the Z should be even more expensive seeing as the 300zx turbo was going for $50k before they stopped production, so by all accounts the 370 should be in the $100k ballpark going off inflation |

Look, I didn't say it was an infallible method, I was just explaining his logic - this example happens to come with a significant currency valuation overprint as the yen reached a peak against the dollar in 1995. This is what really caused the low-volume Japanese car price hike in the mid-90s. Otherwise, for domestic goods, car prices have been fairly well behaved, although they have risen slightly compared to inflation. For example, my dad purchased a new base Camaro in 1972 for about $3500, IIRC. In today's dollars that's about $19k. A base Camaro today stickers for $24 (invoice $22.6k) but you get a whole lot more car for the $3 to $5k increase. Last edited by Rockhound; 01-14-2014 at 12:17 PM. |

It's already in the GT6. This is how much it will cost probably. No a 370z price range, not a gtr price range. Not even close... It's similar to a LF-A. Lol
