Pretty excited about the 200lb weight reduction, too. 3,400 lbs is a lot better than 3,600. I think the effective weight reduction over the current model will actually work out to more than 200lbs since they're cutting out a bunch of unsprung weight. Love/Hate is the best way to describe it. I think that's a good thing and that's what most designers aim for. It's like the Z... you either love the styling or you hate it. That's usually what makes for a good design.
