New Audi S3 Sedan

2015 Audi S3 Sedan First Drive - Autoblog

Will be testing this here soon. Seriously considering this!!!

Hope they have solved the problems of carbon buildup and their DI engines and made the cam follower for the fuel pump a bit stronger this time.

not sure about the vents inside (interior) .. they look out of place. but otherwise looks pretty good. :)

I was considering an S4 for a future vehicle, but the S3 is looking pretty good now

Audi needs better design language... They're becoming dull like BMW save for the R8.

Not sold on the interior after being in a 2013 S4. That interior is amazing. The dash, controls, everything.

This one is just... lacking.

wish they were bringing the hatch here.

how is the reliablity on these audi's in recent years? still a hit or miss?

VAG is better in recent years but they are still not in the realm of the likes of Honda (even new Honda:icon17:). Electrical gremlins are still present but seem more limited to features rather than functional issues.

i see... im still kinda tired of dealing with electrial gremlins on euro cars.. :ugh:

maybe fine on a cheap car like an abarth or something, but not sure if i want to spend over $40K? on something that's going to break. how much are these S3's?

Probably around 40k with a couple options.

There's not many options that are better in that range though (luxe compact). If you want an AWD luxury sedan Audi is the only game in town. BMW's X-drive has nothing on Quattro and in my experience recent offerings from both are about equivalent.

I wouldn't have considered anything from VAG a couple years ago and I'm fairly pleased with my current VAG ride, though I've only had it a couple months. I'll report back down the road!

Something about driving something called a VAG doesn't sound manly :icon17: In all seriousness I'd like to drive this in person as an Audi is on my radar down the line.

Is it better if you get a hatch and call it the VAGwagon?

I still prefer the hatchback. I think the sedan looks a little too squashed. Also it just looks too much like a Jetta for me. I don't think I would ever seriously consider it because I could not justify spending $40k or more on a Jetta with leather and a better engine.

You need to seriously relook how this is equipped etc, brakes, suspension, chassis, motor ALL WHEEL DRIVE. This couldnt be further from a Jetta and thats putting it MILDLY. Its more than an interior update.
