this sucks crap!!!

so i was really tired and using my mom's car,

backing out of the garage and i accidentally scrape the side of car against the wood side garage, now theres a white scuff mark on the black paint,

crap not really sure what i can do,

im thinking of getting a bucket of soapy water and trying to scrub the white scuff marks with a rag/cloth towel

anyone know how to handle this situation

i did the same thing but i just left it as is (both the car and garage)

kenchan 11-05-2013 04:08 PM

or back it out and scrape the other side so it looks even? :ugh:

Best thing is to let her know first off, then see if you can buff it out. There are many products out there for doing this but they can only help just so much. If the damage is bad it will have to be painted.

No its a black benz,

im gonna try to wash it off with water/soap,

i really need to figure a way to do this cost-effectively because i dont want to spend hundreds of dollars for a stupid mistake by me, dont want to use the $ im saving for a 370z... arghhh!!!

Smack it, flip it, rub it down with some Goo-Gone.

Yes.

Is it just a scuff mark? If you run a fingernail lightly over it, does it catch heavily?

You might be able to buff it out with some paint polish or even some scratch/rubbing compound. I suggest searching for "scuff" or "scratch" in the Detailing / Washing / Waxing / Cosmetic Maintenance and Repair forum.

jhtran13 11-05-2013 05:43 PM
