Recommendation for an SUV
So my stepdad is in the market for another SUV(daily driver) since the lease on his LX470 is coming to an end in November.
So far on the list include: Inifiniti QX56 Benz R Benz GL BMW X6 Infi FX500 Any experience with any of these vehicles? If not, care to suggest any? Thanks. |
well from the ones listed it seems like their is a pretty high price range. So my thoughts would be a Range of some sorts or a Cayenne, my personal favorites. Or possibly wait for the X5M, or X6M if that's what he likes. Sorry no actual experience with any listed.
|
i would go with a FX50 for a SUV
|
Those are nice, but no too sure if it is quite on the same level as some of these others being considered. Not taking anything away from the FX, I really like them. But then again who knows, not too much info was given on what they exactly want out of it or an actual price range.
|
true, so whats the price range...i'm sure the FX is up there with the benz prices.
|
FX is semi close to the R and not too close at all to the GL. I almost see the R class as more of a minivan type not really an SUV. Nice looking vehicle though, there's just something strange about it.
|
FX looks the best to me, aggressive
it has power, 5.0 V8 it had a nice interior, good lay out it's an Infinti, reliable stuff. and F.I might make an exhaust for it |
HAHA good call on the exhaust.
But off of power give me a Cayenne or an X5 or X6 M anyday lol. I'm sure even the Range has some balls depending on the model. |
But also price range is completely different so I'd hope they give me more lol.
This is what it all boils down to. |
shum was gonna buy a range until i said get a damn FX....later that day, he buys one....lol
a few peeps said range is not reliable at all......not built well |
Well it is in the Ford family lol. They just look so baller. Favorite by far is the Cayenne, a nice GTS or Turbo S model  Def keep up if not beat most cars on the road too. Sick interiors as well, plus german engineering lol. Not too positive on reliability but Porsche seems to do pretty well, so I wouldn't expect anything less for the Cayenne
|
Porsches look ugly, especially the suv model....
FX wins for me |
YOU DON"T SAY THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
haha everyone has their opinions, I'm just playing. I think I see a trend here, you don't like too many german vehicles do you? |
nope, i dont like them...
|
fair enough lol
|
German technology is getting outdated now, except for serious sports cars, the rest is....well, not great.
|
yea I guess it's on the decline. Still by far my favorite companies come out of there. Besides some Italian supercars I have no chance of owning. all my favoirte cars are german besides the Z, but given the opportunity would much rather have an M or P-car.
|
i have to admit, i am bias towards infinti/nissan's....lol
cant blame me, a solid car is a solid car |
oh no doubt, they are very solid cars, pretty much all Japanese cars are. Overall I have just never been a fan of any besides the rx-7, supra, nsx, is, and actually infinity and nissan as a whole, always solid designs. But we digress lol we can continue convo in useless
back to SUV's......... |
back to SUV's
i recommend the FX50S |
^ good call on the addition of the S. I think for the money this is one of the solidest (is that even a word?) SUV's. Plus they sound SICK!!! We still just need a ballpark price range to zero in on the one for your stepdad
|
can't go wrong with it....
|
Believe it or not FX50's starting price is higher than the SUV's I listed in the OP minus the GL. Anyways I am gonna go ahead and add that to the list. As for the Cayenne, my stepdad(including I) hate the interior.
|
FX interior is no comparison to the others listed
|
Its not on your list, but I love our 07 Tahoe LTZ. We have had it two and a half years and 30000 miles and haven't had one problem with it, its fully loaded with every available option and was well under 50k. If I had to get another one, I would do it all over, except maybe get the hybrid this time.
