A brand new z28 would come in at what? 50-60k? A pre owned C6 Z06 comes in at less then that. Looks better and performs WAY better. Like I said before, this would be directed at the nothing but camaro guys. Otherwise you'd be defeating the purpose.

Does Zo6 have carbon ceramic brakes, 305 wide front tires, water cooled oil and a back seat? I'm more attracted to this Camaro than a z06.

The Z06 has an option for carbon ceramics and a dry sump oil system. Should have oil cooling.

Has no back seat. The front tires, I think are 275.

That's fine, everybody has their own choices and opinions. I was just stating facts. A base Z06 would out perform this car even with all its upgrades. I just wanted to put it out there. The best bang for the buck would be a Z06 if your planning on spending that amount of money straight out. What you choose to spend it on is your own thing. What ever makes YOU happy.

I do think the Camaro has a better Interior then the C6 Corvette. Loaded vs Loaded.

I also do think the 370z has a better interior then both of those fully loaded. Can't have it all can you.

Remember guys, this car is meant to compete against the mustang. Of course the Vette is better but Chevy can't really market their cars that way against the mustang. The mustang has multiple versions of it's car and in order to compete so must the Camaro. There are lots of Camaro fans out there that would never consider a Vette, and that is the customer base they are aiming for with the Z/28. The Z/28 will not be mass produced like the SS or even in the numbers equal to the ZL1. There will be very few Z/28's on the road.

If this car was a mustang with these stats. This thread would be so fanboy over this car. Definitely bias against camaro in this crowd. Stats wise the camaro is nuts. Engineering is insane and I see this as a step in the right direction and a sample of what's to come in the C6 camaro.

Keep sleeping boys. :driving:

Nobody's sleeping were wide awake and realize a z06 is way better.

Obviously any Z/28 owner would recognize that Corvette Z06, manufactured by the same company trumps the Z/28. Needless to say, they are purchasing it for an entirely different reason. And besides that, if they have the damn money to afford the vehicle, more power to them. Regardless of what it can or cannot beat, it is an amazing offer on the revived nameplate.

I like fact it has back seats. ....Corvette? ....fail. This car is likely $30k less than unreleased and not available C7 Z06. Think of it as an American made M3 killer that comes track day ready from the showroom floor. Makes the Boss laguna seca edition mustang look sort of silly.

C7 Z06? LMFAO! If this camaro can't out perform a C6 Z06 what makes you think its even comparable to a C7 Z06 which will be even more powerful and refined. The reason the C6 Z06 came into this discussion is because the Z28 will have an LS7 which is what powers the C6 Z06. Hence you will pay more for this NEW camaro then a pre owned C6 Z06 which can out perform the camaro. The C6 Z06 is a track BEAST. But this debate is only legitamate if your purchasing the z28 for sole power.

Better is subjective to the experience the racer is looking for. I don't see either car as being better than the other. I see them as two completely different vehicles that hold there own in there respective arena...

I know it's a hard concept to grab when perception is overruled with personal bias.:tiphat:
