Almost correct. RX7. In 1979 I wanted an XKE but was content with an MGB. By 1981 I had my '78 280Z and had lost all illusion about British (until I got an XKE). The Miata did not appear for a few years and then they commanded a price above asking, like $16K. The 280Z was $7K.

Actually I had a Corvair. I raced everthing in it as I was a stupid kid.
Then one day a Panterra showed me. I only thought I was racing.

Nothing really as nice in the price range.
Guess I'd have kept my SRT4 and maybe saved up a bit for an AMG C63 in a few years or something. I dunno. |

I may have ended up in an RX-7 with a lot more money to throw in for mods or a lot less if the engine continued to blow up... That body style though...

Evo9 (just like the one found here.) One of my Soldiers was selling his just before we left for Iraq.
I drove it, fell in love, and wanted to destroy it super-rally style on the mountainsides in Eastern Washington .....then I saw an article for the 370Z a couple of weeks after we hit Bahgdad, and I became a NISSAN whore
