agreed, my biggest issue with the leaf, et al is that they all have around 100 mile ranges which if you have a static commute that never varies, is great car, but if you have a job where you have different commutes etc, then it doesn't work as well. Also, you really need two cars since like you said, this isn't a road trip car.

I have both. The rav4 is so much better that you can't compare. You should only buy the leaf if you can't afford the extra 150 or you like to suffer in a little car or care about most efficiency.
For my driving, @ 80% charge I do 85% highway driving. Leads range is 50 and rav4 is 85 in same type of driving roughly. Both with ac on running fast lane speed Last edited by cossie1600; 08-30-2013 at 01:57 AM. |

I've test driven the leaf, actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would but the rav4 is a nicer car for sure. |

Yes I was paying 200 a month in my 50 mile commute. I leased a leaf and it is paying for itself since I get free charge at home n work. Prior to it, I was doing 1800 miles in 6 weeks.
My wife got rid of her Lexus for the Toyota. It's not as comfortable, but we got enough money back to smile all the way to the bank. 51k car for 33k is crazy. We also could use the Hov permit too. This is all about financials, everything else is second. 0-60 in 7 sec is nice too |
