So many cars...help!
13 Attachment(s)
Been lookin at cars cause work is terribly boring....and apparently when you get into the 40-50k range a ton of options open up! The only problem is idk what i like most...because i like them all! Im not goin for raw performance or suspension (however i do want some of both, hence my options) Itll be my daily driver and i do have 26 miles of traffic on the way home most days.
There is no 370 option due to 90% of you guys choosing that. However it is in my choices, i just know you guys are biased! <3 So help me choose! Heres some front 3/4 and interior pics of each In order of appearance : CLA 45 AMG BMW 435i w/ sport package SRT challenger SRT charger Caddy CTS Audi S4 Audi A5 (S5 too expensive) The Audis have practically the same interior inb4 german vehicles are expensive to maintain Sorry i have no idea how to post the pics straight to the thread. If someone can fix thatd be great |
What about a CTS-V?
|
if ur gonna get a 4 series why not just grab an m3 for about 50g's
|
you could even spend just a tad and get the new stingray
heck you could even get a evo10mr and use the 10g's left over for boost or get teh Z and supercharge it CTS-V would be a monster on the road with luxury as a plus |
Challenger and Charger should not be in this poll. They are junk compared to the other cars.
|
CTS-V is 62k base. Not to mention insurance.
Insurance for the C7 is 500 a month. M3 insurance would be up there with it. I also need some kind of practicality. The vette offers 0. I'm also financing so after about 52k the payments are too much. Which is why I can't go Z and supercharge it I threw the challenger and charger in just for fun. I like the interior of the charger and challengers look mean. However I doubt I'd get either I hate the way Evos look. |
I voted for the A5. I've loved them since I first laid eyes on them. These cars are both sexy and classy.
|
The interior on the new Chryslers & Dodges are VERY Nice. I cant say much about the longevity of them because they are too new. That being said, I loved the feel the of the Chrysler 300 srt-8. I previously owned a Charger R/T fully loaded and it was a great ride.
I don't think they compare AT ALL to the other cars listed though. You have to make the decision if you want to go foreign or stay domestic. That AMG is so sexy inside. Same with the S4. The 435 will be the first year that they make those so it may not be the best idea in case of recalls or something bad happens? (Doubt BMW would make a crap car.) The AMG is unique! & I am not even a fan of mercedes |

Scrap both Dodges, I have owned two Dodge sports cars and they are junk. The new Viper ( I know out of the price range ) is the only thing I would get Dodge if I could.
That said I am actually in a similar boat as you. Only difference is im selling my Z for a more practical luxury sport car. That im not afraid to drive in the rain or get a ding in the door. I am leaning towards and AMG of any model that falls into my price range. I am also not against a 2-3 year old model to save some coin as long as its one owner, and low miles. So if I wasnt clear go with the Benz! |
Helping someone find a car is always an adventure.
1- If you have 26 miles of driving a day, both ways, you really want to make sure MPG isn't dismal. 2- I'd eliminate the Dodges up front. The Challenger is more of a weekender and the Charger...is a Charger. I dislike Mustangs because I see 10 of them a day. But the Charger...I see about 20 a day and I never like those bloated hogs. 3- Do you need 4 doors? If so, don't think about the Z. :( 4- Do you live where you need winter driver ability in this car? Would put some weight towards AWD or FWD cars. 5- Does your work commute involve terribly maintained roads? Put some weight into the comfort of the drive. 6- Do you have any other big money items you could buy in the next few years, like a home? If so, I'd finance a cheaper car and save up the leftover for your home or whatever. :) Thankfully you're not looking at exclusive cars that salespeople will balk at just letting you test drive. You should be able to walk in and test drive any of these and see if you like them. You might even be able to rent a few of these for a week and try them out on your drive, depending on where you live. For a DD purchase with plenty of options, I'd definitely steer you towards renting as many of these as you can and doing a week of living with it. And don't discount going with an econobox as a DD and using the leftover money for a fun car. :) You don't need to spend a bunch of money on raw HP and luxury if you just like to toss a car around. A used <insert sporty roadster here> will be fun. (With what is given, and a very quick glance over the cars [I admit I don't know a couple of these very well since they're not on my radar] I, too, went Benz here.) |
I voted for CLA
|
Benz gets 34 mpg. But right now I'm at 12-13 in the stang. So everything is better there cept the dodges.
I don't need 4 doors, I don't generally find them attractive except these ones. However I do know they are useful so I'm not totally neglecting them I don't live where it snows. But I do like goin to big bear for a 4 day vaca in the snow Roads are fine I do need to buy a house in 5 years or sooner or so. However I know once I do that I won't own a fancy car like the ones mentioned above once I buy one. My parents are also both pretty understanding if this |
I voted for the CLA. Although I have not driven it, the numbers look great for the price point.
