Took the Z to Porsche town :)
Took a short road trip to Zuffenhausen, near Stuttgart after brunch this morning. The 911 factory and the Porsche Museum are co-located there. Warm sunny summer day, what better way to get it started than to tour the 50th Anniversary display for the 911!!
Pics include the garage where we parked and had a nice 430 Ferrari show up as we left the Z. The main display of the 911 Anniversary as you drive in. The prototype 911 in green metallic and the first mode of the 911 made in 1963, in Grey with red! Last edited by DLSTR; 07-21-2013 at 01:18 PM. |

The 917 of the great Le Mans era for Porsche as well as the Pink Pig. They painted this when they had no major sponsor. Who said German's have no sense of humor Clever and funny people they are. I enjoy the people here and who can argue about the great cars made in Germany that many of us love!
Also posted is the great 935 Turbo machine. I saw these run at Daytona. Love the body and large rear wing/tail. Outrageous!! |

Im lucky I have a woman who enjoys cars as I do and enjoyed this day with me. Life doesnt get much better than that. What good is a Z without your special love to share it with eh?? I HATE the wheels on the sport classic, I know it's an homage to an older model, but no. And I've seen it in person, and still no...
And why does the 911 50th have a billet grille on the back? Or do you BBQ on it?
