A Jag is a hell of a lot nicer inside inside than any Z. The target market for a Jag isn't someone who even knows a Z exists. Jags are made so women have something pretty to park at the country club.

Yeah, but the new F-Type looks fantastic. I'm looking forward to Top Gear's review, I saw a clip of it in the intro. If you can afford it, then speed isn't necessarily what you care about, nor is reliability for that matter.

It's a gorgeous car. If I ever had a company willing to lease me a work car, I'd seriously consider it. Jag reliability has come up in recent years, but I still wouldn't have one as my only car.

332HP... Base 33K? Really Nissan? I'll stick with my 30k base 5.0 (that has 416HP) 240HP... Base 93k? (S350 BluTec) Really Mercedes? I'll stick with my 33k base 370Z The Jag and the 370 aren't even CLOSE to the same league... They shouldn't be compared

I'll bet that Jag is a hell of a lot more comfortable than any Z ever made and can hold 2 golf bags in the trunk.

I'd take a Boxter S over the base f type, and a 911 S over the v8 model. But hey I've never been into British cars.. Does look sexy in person though!
The V8 model has a nice price per horsepower btw.

It makes a wonderful noise too. I'm with you though. If I had the cash in hand, I'd come home with a 911.

This car is badass, you need to hear it in person before rushing to judgment.
It is on a completely different level than the 370z, it's not even close in terms of refinement, luxury, or brand recognition so it's not even a fair comparison |

I'd take the Jag over the 911. I don't think I could ever by a base 911 or 911 S, I'd have to go GT3/GT2.
That Jag is gorgeous! Their design team is incredible.

I like the built in diffuser on the V8 version. And the orange color is just amazing!

Same here. My shame would fade, but I'd still have the GT2.

1. SC v6 has a far broader torque band then the NA Z: the engine is a beast 2. Classic Jag styling, subjective but its a looker. 3. Much better interior and customization available 4. Target market: Cayman/Boxster or low end 911 Copy cats...that's pun-ny Most folks copy Jag styling given they are classics. The Z will remain a sports car and is a fantastic package for what it is. The F type is a bit porky IMHO, so to me its leans more GT then Sports car when comparing it to a Boxster. Kudos for Jaguar for bringing this sucker to market. With the exception of the transmission choices, I could see myself actually lusting after one for once. - b |
