The price points are so vastly different that I am not faulting Nissan: they brought a very specific car to market segment devoid of competition, though not a large market segment. The F and the P cars are priced similarly (though I would expect the Jag to come out 10-15% less expensive, in the ball park) - b |

And honestly, they make fun of Great Shittish cars ALLLLLLLL the time, they didn't like the last Jag because it was too golf club-ish, And they really do crap crap about Lotus, Range Rovers and almost everything else's reliability |

I checked it out last night after I saw an ad on the golf channel. It's a beautiful car. The engineering, as far as the transmission knowing when to downshift in a curve, looks really cool. Too much $$ for me. If I had the cash I'd definitely be taking a look. It's not always about horsepower. They do have a V8 with over 400hp. That's more than enough for just about anyone. Even with the 4000 lb.+ weight.

I am disappointed by the size of the f. When I heard ramblings that this was going into production, I'd hoped it would be smaller, a proper brit roadster. I parked next to one a few weeks ago, and it dwarfed my Corvette. It is massive.
I also have a personal bias against jags because they don't offer a manual option and are very expensive, but their design is beautiful |
