And in all fairness. Top Gear was using a diesel, which is always heartier than a gasoline engined car |
Highlander is based on a Camry while the FJ is based on a 4 runner. (Uni-body vs. traditional frame). I don't know about the Highlander, but on the Lexus RX, another car that is based on the Highlander, they tell you specifically not to go off road on their website.

Thanks guys this helped a lot I hate living with regret so I probably have to follow my gut. I think im going to get a Jeep Wrangler, get if lifted and put on a snorkel and this way, WHO CAN STOP ME!:)
I see so many old ones of the wrangler still running in my town from easily the 80s they never go out of style and they are easy enough to fix and work on. I figure if I want to cover the things I want and more this will do it with ease. This weekend ill be shopping my area for a certified pre-owned. |
I am a Jeep kind of guy, have been as long as I can remember as my grandpa brought me up on them. In the last 15 years I have owned at least one at all times with 3 being the most at one time. Bought my first Jeep back in 81 and it was a 72 CJ5 with the 304 V8. Land Rovers...........no Toyota's are ok but give me a SFA any day over an ISF. There are not many vehicles as capable as a stock Rubicon period end of converstaion.
