Default Entertaining, pseudo-negative FR-S Review

Hey everyone. I was cruising YouTube last night and found this review. I'm not an FR-S/BRZ hater, but like a lot of us I'm tired of hearing nothing but FANTASTIC reviews for this car. I like the car, actually, but I'd like to hear the other side as well.

This is not a professional car review. It's just some dude, but it was pretty entertaining. He's an owner, and he lists some of his pluses and minuses for the car. Apparently, and unfortunately for this guy, there's a several-month back-order on any parts needed for the car. Ouch.

Caution: He uses some colorful language. Be careful if you're at work (like me). This is just up for general consumption/entertainment. Take it or leave it.

Lol. It was an honest review. About as honest as you can get. I agree that 200hp is only good for so long. After a while 200hp becomes

So you find massive understeer fun in a civic? But yet, you complain about (what we all know is nearly non-existent) understeer in the Z???

I'd still rather drive an FR-S.

Damn all you do is lie.

Chris Harris review enough said. Maybe like 1 British guy would take the Zed over frs so you really wanna go there?

Nobody want a 35-40k car and then have to spend thousands more on proper tires and suspension.

Anyway that was a good vid. I hadn't heard about the issue with parts but that would be a pisser thats for sure. I want to like the FRS/BZR but its not there yet. Maybe an STi verision will come out and make it all better!

at this point he's just entertaining to watch go down in flames when i do see his occasional posts from other people quoting him. to me there is 2 types of people that lease, type 1 are the ones who are always trying to keep up with the joneses and are just concerned with looking good in their car, type 2 is the person who leases because they are always wanting to try something new and not be tied down to one car. guess which one jungleZ belongs to lol....as for the FR-S as has been said before, it's a respectable car, but only as an entry level sports car for the teenagers wanting something sporty as their first car.

Decent review. I've got a BRZ as my DD and while the FRS interior is fairly spartan, the BRZ in Limited trim isn't too bad. Neither the FRS or the BRZ in any trim level have a decent stereo and the stereo and Nav controls in my BRZ are nasty.

I've had the BRZ for a year and luckily no issues with the ECU caused whine the reviewed was afflicted with.

Um, the Z does understeer a bit at the limit. It's slightly noseheavy. But it can also oversteer with throttle.

Yeah it's hardly non-existent. If it is, you're not driving fast enough.

Also, FRS: I kinda like it... but still do not want.

So he is complaining about the car being unreliable. Hmmm...didn't a third of the people on this forum had their car towed for the stupid steering lock?

Or the <1% that had to get towed due to fuel starvation?

I don't hate honda's. I have no interest in purchasing one. Big difference.

But morons may not understand that.

My point is jungle is not driving fast. I know it.... That's why i used the WORD NEARLY. You only feel understeer 85%in to the cars capability. But most stock FR's will do that AT THE LIMIT. Understeer is much worse with VDC on as well. We had this convo in another thread aslready.

As far as the FR-S goes??? I don't think any of us Don't like it. I think it's more of a value issue and can we live with such little power. But the car is definitely needed in the sports car world, in general.
