They have an inferiority complex towards 370z drivers because of their lack of power?

The fr-s/br-z is like the new 240sx. They make everything for that car just like the 240sx. When I had my s-chassis cars I pretty much changed everything in them that could be modified. These cars are underpowered, have great handling and are fun to drive except that they need a lot of modification to make them go fast. If I wanted to modify everything about a car again I would have bought an fr-s/br-z. I got the z because modding gets old and I wanted something out of the box that required minimal mods to be just as fun.

There's people like that in every car type. Life is more enjoyable if you don't fret the actions of others.

frs/brz owners tries too hard, yes.

& I actually like the Genesis much more, especially the 3.8 coupe R-spec, they're quick out of the box. Even though it's a hyundai, most definitely the sweetest hyundai ever made :D

You're all wrong! The worst d-bags by far are the dudes in pick-up trucks or the soccer mom in the minivan. At least with the FRS, you know there's a car enthusiast under all that hair gel. Soccer moms/dads in minivans are just a-holes behind the wheel...period. I don't blame them, I'd be pissed too if I had to drive around in Honda Odysey

one day, I drove my wrx at the posted speed limit and stopped at the redlight About a second or two later, this big truck went through the redlight. I was pretty sure he tried to catch up with me and then couldn't stop. Luckily nobody got hurt.

Haha so true. Ive been looking into them a bit more and there are a handful of guys running 500-600whp on stock motor and tranny...If that becomes a regular event the Z market will have its hand full with them. A gutted interior BRZ/FRS weighs in at 2400lbs. That weight has be jealous for sure.

I can say i've seen that too. I pulled up to a 3 lane intersection and watched a truck come up behind me and fly through 3 lanes of both directions of traffic. I couldn't believe my eyes when he swerved through the cars. I thought for sure he was going to die. Freaking stupid people need to pay attention.

Full Blown motorsports is doing all of their testing on one car...they have done 3 turbo kit reiterations on it and right now its dynoing 600+whp stock motor. I cant believe it.

And yes that weight is nuts. I watched a video of a 400whp FRS do a 1/4mile in 11.3s.

Really considering going to the dark side now that im researching haha. Lets hope the Z35 will be lighter! Id be so happy if our cars were stock 3000lbs.

i saw this one topgear episode (2013) where the guys took a Viper, an Aston Martin, and a Lexus LFA to the drag strip and they all lost to modified civics and mitsubishis. They weren't even close :eek:
Not sure if they lost the races intentionally to make the episode more interesting or because the other cars were that fast

Yeah I mean that's pretty typical. I have a bunch of friends with 600-800whp builds. You can make any car fast...I just don't care much about those however. They are catalog cars. Simply go to anyone distributor and pick up everything you need in one spot. No designing no playing around and no spending real large amounts of money. Its perfect for the highschooler/college student who wants power on a budget.

Its funny, for me, I'll see a FRS zipping around ahead, making jerk moves etc but then when I become visible or get next to them....they start coasting in 3rd or something lol, love it.

Anyway back on topic, most of the FRS guys have I met have been really nice here. I havent run into any douches.

I actually had a deposit down on a white FR-S before they came out. While I was waiting for the next shipment of them to come, I bought a Z instead. They're good cars. Lots of respect.
