Altima Coupe Discontinued

Nissan Altima Coupe Likely Discontinued: Exec Says | AutoGuide.com News

I really enjoyed mine when I had it. Once my 370Z entered the picture it was difficult to justify two coupes, and I had too many hobbies and just outgrew it for a daily driver.

I'm totally ok with the AC being a sacrificial lamb if it means that a BRZ fighter can enter the picture and the Z can be bumped up a bit. We shall see what happens.

Well.... there's always Honda...:bowrofl:

No, seriously....that coupe was nice except for the front end styling. But, a nice coupe with the V6.

Best decision Nissan ever made

Underrated front-driver in the 3.5 guise. Manual option too, excellent build quality too.

Will be missed. Hopefully it will be replaced with an even more fun fwd/awd coupe

Meh ugly car, good riddance

speedfreek 04-11-2013 11:58 AM

Bring back the Silvia/240SX!!!

Ugly, didn't really see a point to it. The inconvenience of a two door car without the performance of a sports car.

I wonder how many people criticizing the altima coupe have "truly driven one"?

2 door coupes based on 4 door family sedan, didn't they design it for drivers that are larger than normal?

i havent and never wanted to... i dont think that's my problem, rather nissan's problem for not offering a coupe that i'd want.

What do you call the Z?

The Altima coupe is a FWD commuter with some fun packed into it. It's a mainstream car with a bonus.

I'm sure it is a more than capable car, not worth it to me when I can get a used G35 which would be a better platform

To me the lines were awkward and it was a half-azz attempt by Nissan just to compete with the Accord

That would have been discontinuing the Sentra instead. :p

Ehh...it wasnt a bad car. my GF had one for a couple of years and it was sort of sporty for her. It was the 4 cylinder version and she paid I think 22K new for it so cheap got good mileage and never had a problem. while you know while it really wasnt my thing it was at least a little different than a civic or accord or whatever is in that range. it was fine to drive when we went on trips and around town. That CVT was a bit weird as it was the first one i had ever driven. but all in all not a bad looking car for what it was( with the must have lip spoiler as it looked strange with out it) She got rid of it last year for a pathfinder when we got a new dog
