Formula Drift Tech Day & Source Interlink Meet Photos
This is the second year in a row that Source Interlink (Import Tuner, Super Street, etc) & Formula Drift have teamed up for a tech day and meet.
Last year I was unable to attend and the weather was really bad so there was a low turnout. This year I was able to attend and the Source Interlink team promoted it nearly a month in advance so there was a massive turnout. Side note - this meet was actually held in my work parking lot so I had access to roof shots that no one else was able to capture (Exclusive!!) It was a pretty large meet http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cKHruW6Vxf...00/photo+3.JPG This was still early in the morning, the parking lot would completely fill before noon http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Z8tfN84JRr...00/photo+1.JPG One of the cars going into the garage for inspection http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-71-2_mmR5P...0/IMG_2618.JPG FD officials conducting their inspections http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jRZiVey_eo...0/IMG_2627.JPG Some classics in the corner of the Source Interlink garage http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CIQM27-wMU...0/IMG_2629.JPG Great posters in the garage as well http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nFayyZoc_P...0/IMG_2632.JPG Now time for the cars in attendance, little surprise to see me start out with a Hakosuka, Jeebus this thing was clean! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bLxH5EcH_x...0/IMG_2567.JPG Classic engine with a couple of modern touches http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-k2r0hgMzQO...0/IMG_2568.JPG This thing had all the boxes checked (fender flares, aggressive wheels, and functional stance) http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-b6HJsT49J8...0/IMG_2581.JPG This R32 was parked next to it, only in SoCal! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QmW0hX-xGO...0/IMG_2576.JPG Digging the blue color http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uUrdxYqJCd...0/IMG_2583.JPG This is my buddy BJ's (aka Inzpire) M3, he was once a Z owner and moved on and I really like his setup http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C9vsJ2jUpz...0/IMG_2591.JPG Red on red and legit BBS's, I really liked it and I'm surprised it took me so long to finally get a chance to shoot it http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BMntpcHl_-...0/IMG_2593.JPG Yes I know this is a stock BRZ, but this is also another friend of mine Calin. After driving a Fiat 500 for awhile he switched over to the BRZ http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-uzVJpAo0UU...0/IMG_2592.JPG Another friend of mine Arnel and his uber clean and rare slick-top Z32 on NISMO LMGT4's http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7pHf_L7ip9...0/IMG_2540.JPG First time I had seen this particular BRZ, but it looked great on a set of gold Advans http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-N8FEG7RWX5...0/IMG_2549.JPG There were also a couple of really nice Mustangs in attendance,, http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LxnXJCsEWw...0/IMG_2551.JPG This was a really nice setup on this Evo, pretty sure it was the Voltex setup and it looked menacing http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oxVNGdVGh2...0/IMG_2556.JPG This RHD EG was really rocking the current USDM trend, not my style but I can respect it http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IXkUxGw-xY...0/IMG_2570.JPG White on bronze is always a nice combo and this R35 pulled it off http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LjMbGaQAMm...0/IMG_2572.JPG Aggressive set of Takata green TE-37SL's on a nice S2k, nice setup! http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tlYMtDa766...0/IMG_2597.JPG A couple of classics also rolled in, this Camaro was flawless http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pUz0HOj362...0/IMG_2599.JPG Nice set of Volk LE28's on this 350z http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GdE5WoIRA7...0/IMG_2601.JPG This was an awesome Mustang sitting on a set of TSW Interlagos, this was a really nice build http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Xga5nr8uxo...0/IMG_2602.JPG Classy use of carbon fiber under the hood as well and it's SC'd http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PEa41i-gj7...0/IMG_2607.JPG I really liked the setup on this FR-S, I don't think there is a car that doesn't look good on TE-37 SL's http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Z-WuZsrEK5...0/IMG_2611.JPG My buddy Alf and his previously black G35 now sporting a new color change all together! http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vUC2dpE5G2...0/IMG_2614.JPG Alf is very meticulous in his build and went out of his way to polish or paint whatever he could to push the car over the edge. It was a great overall execution http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ogj--iKZPs...0/IMG_2616.JPG Sticker bombed 510, I wish I would have been able to get a front shot http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RqkbFBXPid...0/IMG_2676.JPG This was the second time I have spotted this Corolla and you will notice it was even featured in Modified magazine http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qfsm4cYrKy...0/IMG_2686.JPG Nice Z4 on a set of Works http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QKSB_RLh9y...0/IMG_2691.JPG Lurking in the corner was Jon Sibal's Challenger on SSR's http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4Dp7q6mvz5...0/IMG_2657.JPG This was the first time I had seen this car in person and as a fan of Jon's work I really liked it http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vXUPiW2XrR...0/IMG_2658.JPG What a nice setup of SSR SP1's, so clean! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-04r-FcXaam...0/IMG_2659.JPG This is a massive car but Jon did a good job of keeping it sporty http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A9s84EdG9c...0/IMG_2654.JPG Last but not least is my good friend Aariyan's Z on a brand new set of TE37-SL's in High Metal Bronze http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AflbihQzXJ...0/IMG_2693.JPG Perfect and functional stance http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3DmqbKTyQC...0/IMG_2697.JPG Notice that these are not the silver-finish that you normally see on the SL's, these are actually more of a copper-finish in person, pretty cool http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ySrcHh0p5w...0/IMG_2699.JPG The rest of the photos can be found on my blog: The Auto Fanatic - Formula Drift Tech Day & Source Interlink Meet |
