More great news for off- roaders and future off-roaders like me. Not only has jeep, Upgraded, Updated, and Showed up the competition with the new Jeep Grand Cherokee... Now they are bringing back the Cherokee name with "Real" Off-Road Capability that rivals Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. (That's how it used to be.) :usa:
Jeep is bringing back the ORIGINAL affordable off-roading/suv with the new Jeep Cherokee with a 45% increase in fuel economy and a more upscale look.

Your post is actually the first positive one I've seen about the new Cherokee. I know a lot of people are really hating on the style. I don't like it either.

I think it looks ok. The Grand cherokee in my opinion is nicer BUT, these Jeep's are about so much more than looking kewl brutha. The capability from off the lot is insane. The only competitor these vehicles really have is land rover/range rover. But these are a third less in price and somewhat more reliable. Love or hate looks, but attention to minor details and paint quality is much higher than on the Liberty.

Believe me, I know what Jeeps are about. I just think this one is fugly.

The Wrangler and Grand Cherokee look good, however.

I don't think I've placed a direct opinion on looks yet. But Looks wise the other two are much stronger.:tup:

Oh jumpin' back in quick. I test drove the Grand Cherokee overland summit. All I can say is WOW!!!!

Jeep is expecting to sell 250,000 of these worldwide...

I have to agree with m4a1mustang, it looks kinda fuqly to me... here's my opinion on the current jeep lineup

something about curvy looking SUVs don't look right to me... i like SUVs to be boxy looking with large tires :yum:

I don't like the liberty, patriot and compass. Those 3 also have limited off-road capability. I like the new upcoming cherokee based more on performance over looks. I don't think it's ugly though. But, I don't see it quite as a good looking vehicle yet, either. I'm just happy the cherokee will have full rock climbing capability. :happydance:

ya I'm kinda on the fence with the grand cherokee, i think it'd look better with a slight lift and larger tires but as is, it looks kinda like a crossover SUV
i'd still totally drive one as my daily though :tup:

Isn't it a FWD based Cute-Ute?

They all have AWD options which is the only consideration from my standpoint.

Only like the SRT8, - though think its 2012/13
