Maybe it's me, but the idea of driving with such a long front end is weird to me

It was at first, but you get used to it :tiphat: I loved my 370Z!!! I sold it for the M Roadster because I wanted an old school muscle high horsepower roadster with modern handling and amenities. The weather is great here and I'm 10 minutes from the beach, I drive with the top down as much as possible :p

And I could be wrong, but didn't the original 240Z have a long nose and a straight six ...... ;)

No they don't, at least, not the performance model. I checked before I bought my 370.

Get in a vette, those things have noses you could land a plane on.

It's a guy thing. Here, let me explain:

I really liked the hard-top version, and am seriously sad they stopped making both a manual and a hard-top. It was my first stop when I traded my Z06 in, but I was told it was dead. The 370Z was as close as I could get to it in a reasonable price-bracket.

They stopped the M version when they changed from the E85 to the E89 (2009 model). They have "M" packages now, but it's not a real "M" division designed car ................ just some parts bin stuff. The 2006 - 2009 Z4 M only came with a 6MT.

Yep, and I didn't want an expensive to maintain European car with 0 warranty that is 1/2 a decade old, so I passed. I can't do SMG, and that engine was pure sex. Smooth and eager to please.

BMW needs to do a Z8 again with the E92's M3's powerplant.

well, the 35i has a great powerplant and it does come with a manual. I think you can get most of the sports options on it too., just not the extra few hp.

To me, that's "meh". I don't care about going fast, I care about feeling like I am. I don't make any money off this ****, and I like smiling. If you DO make money, or you drive competitively and racing the clock is your game, then kudos, but all the BS about "Well my car is 0.2 seconds faster 0-60 because it drives for me, and it never misses a launch rpm or gear!" is just laughable to a guy like me who doesn't track cars often at all, if ever, and who doesn't live his life 1/4 mile at a time.

The one feature I do like is the auto-blipper, because it does preserve parts, and is a GREAT! learning tool. However, it can be turned 100% off at the press of a button, and to me, that's an important feature of that feature. You can't turn an SMG into a manual unless a 3rd pedal pops down from some hidden cubby or something, lol

You're sounding more and more like a BRZ man.:roflpuke2:
