My main issue with the Camaro (and most American cars, to be honest), is that the seats are not made for me. Hell, the entire car is not made for me.

I'm a short, skinny guy, and the Camaro just feels like it isn't made for someone of that size at all. The seats are huge, the steering wheel is a giant brick of plastic, everything feels oversized -- it's just... eugh.

I like how it sounds. The power is cool. The 1LE package is awesome.

But the car itself is just... I don't know. Poorly designed, I guess? They certainly sacrificed a lot just for the sake of aesthetics, and that shows if you don't fit perfectly into the Camaro.

The 1LE actually has an alcantara steering wheel. The good thing with the 1LE, you don't have to touch the suspension. The only thing I would like to do is lower the car. But all the right parts are in there. Which will save you money. (Our z suspensions need mods) With that said. The seats would be fixed by buying some recaro or other type racing seat.

Most cars under $100,000 aren't perfect, and you will always need to fix something. On the Z, The priority is in the suspension for track use. In the 1LE, it will be the seats.

but if you're short and skinny? You may look a little silly behind the wheel of a camaro? The Z is probably the perfect fit. I'm 6ft and 170lbs. I still look small coming out a camaro. lol

The changes to the styling are minor...very minor based on the spyshots a few weeks ago. You probably couldn't tell the difference unless you're an owner. I'm guessing it's going to be as interesting or uninteresting as the facelift to the Z.

You never know, like the Mustang there has not been a new body style on the road yet.
All test mules have been just current model cars with different interiors, suspension, and engine.

I can't honestly think of a good reason anyone would pick a high powered Camaro, re-styled or otherwise, over a new Corvette Stingray. If they drop an LS7 in the Camaro, the price is gonna approach or exceed the Corvette. I doubt the unveal is going to be the new platform, so we're still talking about a relatively heavy car.

If I wanted comfy sporty rides I would have kept my 2000 Eclipse GT over either the Z or Camaro.

If you need a back seat?

If you drive friends and family around?

The Camaro is a more practical car, albeit slower.

The ZL1 doesn't need an LS7 to reach Vette moneys.

That said, a Corvette is the leading candidate to replace my Z in a year or two.

What does A have to do with B??? The Camaro has a different pupose from the camaro. And the eclipse has a different purpose from the other two.

kinda embarrassing to bring up a post 99 eclipse as even a sport entry altogether. And you're talking about v6 garbage. We are talking about this type of camaro...

In the real world and not in unlimited income world... $20,000
Back seats may be useful as well as lower insurance due to back seats. Some people just plain old,ACTUALLY like GT's??? Maybe???

Redesign is a 2016 model. This is just a refresh. I clarified that in the primary post.

you know, my 2013 camaro 2SS insurance premium is lower than my 2010 370z nismo.
C7's insurance premium has got to be much higher.

rates for 6-months:

Not only that but Z insurance has been stagnant or has increased for most. Camaro has been lowered more over time than the Z.

Insurance rates vary by many many factors.

And this past summer, I got quoted for insurance with the idea of trading my Z in for a used Corvette Z06. The Vette was much cheaper to insure than the 370Z. I was amazed. Same type of car (rwd 2-seater), and the Corvette was lighter and 170hp faster than the Z, yet cheaper to insure.

perhaps it's because in general, z drivers are younger than Corvette drivers ?
someone told me WRX's insurance rates are quite high because of the young drivers.

I think that has a lot to do with it. Or perhaps Vette drivers park/live in nicer neighborhoods. Or perhaps the Vette's cheaper to insure because it's a domestic? I don't know. My STI is very pricy, too, although my Z is more expensive.
