This and I don't like how the entire center console area looks - too boxy, slanted too much upwards, etc.

Well the other option would be to wait a couple years and buy a used one.....but I know a lot of people don't like to buy used sports cars.

I'd buy a CERTIFIED used porsche that was over a $100k new if im the second owner. Here's my logic behind it.

Under $100k, you get the young, spoiled rich kid who received first class edu and daddy got him his first 6 figure job, poser, want to impress their friends and that they have a porsche. Can barely make the payments, but they're happy cuz they live in an empty loft with reasonable rent. A first year college aged gf thats a great fvck n she's just impressed you're driving a porsche, you're doing donuts everywhere, playing highway king and elitist to all your friends. Don't buy the sub $100k porsche used

Over $100k you're somewhere between 45-65. You're a successful business man in a midlife/end of life crisis and you pretty much want to impress the guys you make business deals with, the grandkids and you want to look kewl when you go out to dinner to your 5 star restaurants. You know all the performance stats of your car, but 90% of the fogey's never been past 90mph. Which is like not going past 60 in a genesis coupe.lol.

I'd buy used.

Buying used Porsches' are great because it is very easy to run a diagnostics test (there's some abbreviation for it, forgot what it was called) that shows how long the car has driven in each rev range, including any over revs. It takes all the guess work out of finding a used Porsche that was driving like hell and one that was driven respectfully.

Porsche just sent me one of those generic emails teasing me to empty my wallet..

"The limit is apparently the most exhilarating place to be these days. The final square centimeters have yet to be explored here. This may be where others turn back, but for us, it is only the beginning – the start of a journey towards new sporty destinations. Because two hundredths of a second are worlds apart. So let’s get going. In the new 911 GT3. In our web special.

Also in this newsletter: The origins of the Porsche 911 GT3 – the type 996 GT3 from 1999 as the successor to the legendary Porsche Carrera RS. Travel the world over with the Porsche Travel Club. Discover expandable versatility with Porsche Tequipment options. And lastly, enjoy the fashion collection inspired by Martini Racing colors from Driver's Selection by Porsche Design.

We hope you enjoy reading about this and other exciting news from Porsche,

Your Porsche team"

I suspect with markup and options, prices at the dealership will be around 150K, however these cars hold their value like no other..
BTW I think it looks much better in white.

I hate buying used ANYTHING. My house was "used", I guess, but no one lived in it for 2.5yrs of the 4yrs it was standing when I bought it. I guess homes are a little different.

But cars, I know how I drive them, or want to, and I just have trust issues really...

But I love Porsche so much. I would consider getting a '98 911 Turbo - my fav. Porsche.

Yeah sometimes it is just about luck, but if you do your research on a particular car you shouldn't have any issues. I bought my Z certified used and it was flawless. Haven't had any major issues with it in the 2+ years I've had it. I wouldn't mind getting a car that's 1-2 years old with low mileage that has already taken the depreciation hit from the new car price.
