Would you consider an Alfa 4C?

Seems like a decent buy at $45K but the first year will probably go for sticker plus. http://http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1082262_2014-alfa-romeo-4c-revealed-ahead-of-2013-geneva-motor-show Last edited by Ziggyman; 02-12-2013 at 10:48 AM. |

Link no work for me. I had heard it was going to start at $55K. $45K would put it in a much better fighting position, below the Vettes, Lotus, etc.

This sounds like it would be a really fun car, though I'm sure the markup will be ridiculous, especially with only 1000 coming to the US.
It's unfortunate that all 1000-or-so of these will probably be spoken for before regular folks get a chance to get one. And the people that buy them probably wont even drive them. I for one would drive the $hit out of this. |

looks pretty sweet. but like stated above.... the mark up (with only 1000 coming to the U.S.) probably going to be up there.

Can you guys name any other car company that can get away with selling crap more than Alfa? Most of their cars are overpriced, not reliable and don't deliver much performance. The name is okay, but it is no Ferrari. With a Lotus, at least you get some performance out of it. With an Alfa, I guess people look at them as art.

I would consider it, however outside of having a driver's epiphany, I doubt I would take such a huge gamble on it considering the reputation of reliability issues that alfa has.
On paper its amazing. It looks gorgeous, but in that price range, i would prefer some other vehicles. bottom line is yea, i would consider it. But i doubt it would get past that. |

>>As previously reported, production will take place at a Maserati plant in Modena, Italy. Numbers will be limited, with some suggesting just 2,500 will be built for worldwide consumption, which means pricing could be set higher than the original estimates of around $45k. Around 1,000 are expected for the North American market.<<
that means, it's about the same price as the 2014 Corvette C7. For $50k, I would rather have a Corvette C7. To my eyes, it looks better than the Alfa. |
