Would you consider an Alfa 4C?

Just curious to see if anyone would consider this option. A little over 2000 lbs. 250 hp +/- and what i love about Italian cars, style! The Fiat dealerships are an unknown quantity, at least to me, but are part of the same local Nissan dealers group here.

Seems like a decent buy at $45K but the first year will probably go for sticker plus.

Sure. Looks fun.

Link no work for me. I had heard it was going to start at $55K. $45K would put it in a much better fighting position, below the Vettes, Lotus, etc.

Holy hell, yes!!!!

It's like a Miata in an Evora's body that has the Mustang's power/weight ratio with a 370Z's price-tag!

Imtired 02-12-2013 01:38 PM

This sounds like it would be a really fun car, though I'm sure the markup will be ridiculous, especially with only 1000 coming to the US.

It's unfortunate that all 1000-or-so of these will probably be spoken for before regular folks get a chance to get one. And the people that buy them probably wont even drive them. I for one would drive the $hit out of this.

Nah, I chose to relate it to an Evora instead. :roflpuke2:

Nismo89 02-12-2013 05:25 PM

looks pretty sweet. but like stated above.... the mark up (with only 1000 coming to the U.S.) probably going to be up there.

Can you guys name any other car company that can get away with selling crap more than Alfa? Most of their cars are overpriced, not reliable and don't deliver much performance. The name is okay, but it is no Ferrari. With a Lotus, at least you get some performance out of it. With an Alfa, I guess people look at them as art.

Econ 02-13-2013 10:32 AM

I like it. I think it would look handsome next to my Fiat

Rooster89 02-13-2013 10:36 AM

I would consider it, however outside of having a driver's epiphany, I doubt I would take such a huge gamble on it considering the reputation of reliability issues that alfa has.

On paper its amazing. It looks gorgeous, but in that price range, i would prefer some other vehicles. bottom line is yea, i would consider it. But i doubt it would get past that.

The next gen Miata is rumored to have this cars chassis and a 1.3 turbo.

Living in Europe I can tell you there are alot of Alfa's on the road. They are nice cars and do quite well.
Would I buy this? Y E S! Cant wait to get a test from my former Alfa/Abarth dealer. I think it will be fun!

I remember when I was a kid in NYC alfa Romeo's were the shyt. It was all about the Milano. Also peugot were popular in NYC with the 505 sport sedan. I hope peugot makes a comeback as well.

These brands made our roads more interesting. citroen, the euro saab & Renault also existed in those days. :)

>>As previously reported, production will take place at a Maserati plant in Modena, Italy. Numbers will be limited, with some suggesting just 2,500 will be built for worldwide consumption, which means pricing could be set higher than the original estimates of around $45k. Around 1,000 are expected for the North American market.<<

that means, it's about the same price as the 2014 Corvette C7.
For $50k, I would rather have a Corvette C7. To my eyes, it looks better than the Alfa.

Austin Healys, MGs, Triumphs too! Loved all the Brit cars, couldn't keep the lights or wipers working but all fun to drive.

Shamu 02-15-2013 08:08 PM

I'm not feminine enough to get away with driving that Alfa.
