Honestly the visibility isn't bad. You have to get used to it... Adjust the mirrors correctly and it's fine. I like the chop top look of it. And I like the interior. It may not be made of the most luxurious materials, but I like the design of it honestly. Doesn't look like any other car.

Yeah, it's the design that is so unique with the Camaro... looks like nothing else on the road}

I test drove a Camaro before I drove the Z. It's okay, but the interior was bad (ergonomically and material-wise) and the price seemed silly -- this was right when they came out and the dealers wanted MSRP+ for them. The one I was looking at was higher in $$$ than a Vette.
Of course, times have changed. Still, the interior hasn't changed. |

An SS 1LE Review
2013 Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE First Test - Motor Trend 2013 Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE Front Three Quarters Photo 1 http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...photo_01.html# I'm a be honest guys, this car is making me consider getting out my Z and in the 1LE. The performance just looks insane, with the power to match. I know it won't be as nimble as my Z. Prefer the size of my Z as a sport car as well... And it's going to take getting used to cuz i like the sports car seating position of my Z as well... But that's the kind of power i want and it will cost 18k in mods or 6k in a trade... I don't think i can part with the Z though. I still think it's an incredible car. :confused: |
YOLO bro. You can always go back!

I hope it's the same for the Z. I wish there was more things coming out for our gen Z in terms of excitement within the brand. It's an awesome car. I'm in love with my Z but im dissatisfied with the cost of doing things aftermarket with the Z. I am also highly dissatisfied with Nismo Aftermarket. That's the only thing straying me away. The automatic camaro, Ive seen supercharger with 600rwhp and the only upgrades needed was higher grade fluid and a bigger cooler. Our cars auto is rated 440 and if it goes to that set limit? There's issues. And to insure that there are no issues with the auto? $8,000. My issues with the Z isnt stock performance or loving this car on all levels. My only issues are, I love to mod and mods cost a lot to do a little. Thats MY ONLY ISSUE. i see the packages GM is putting out and then i look at the cost of aftermarket parts. Aftermarket pricing for the camaro is very doable for me... Then when you factor in a $1800 intake exhaust & tune is netting 80hp??? I'm like damn... When have we netted 80hp with $1800 I love power... Its an addiction :nutswinger: Also, if i wait. I can keep my Z instead of trade. I'll have time to save for the next gen camaro. |
I still don't know why you would buy this car instead of a C6 with MRC. It has plenty of chintzy interior, the same power, and went on a great diet losing weight in all the right places. Maybe I just never liked the Camaro.

I like the vette but optioned out, it just costs too much money. The Camaro has 4 seats. I like that. The SS1LE is just an outstanding pkg and it takes a lot more to make a Camaro chassis handle that good than it takes a Corvette... You gotta respect "Underdog Engineering" Interior... It's no Z but the 12 and 13's aren't chintzy. |
You also get more utility out of it than you do a C6.
